Confession!
Been so busy lately that I haven't had time to eat. I have only just clicked on to it as someone offered me a rice cracker and I said no thanks. They then said have you had breakfast... I realised "No!". I have since Sunday.
All I had yesterday was three cups of Coffee by 1:30p.m. I eventually managed to heat up a jacket potato but got called into a meeting urgently and I can only assume it eaten by the borrowers by the time I returned and it was missing. Sneaky little varmites!
When I got home I made steamed cabbage, Carrots, Leeks and chicken. Then I made chicken and Spinach and ate that.Starting weight: 13st 6lb 8 oz

I use some ham stock cubes (1.5 syns each), a couple of onions, and diced carrots and turnip. Lots of carrots as it makes it sweeter. I simmered everything until cooked, and then rinsed some red lentils (just under half a 500g bag) and added it to the pot. It takes about 15 minutes for the lentils to be ready. Then I just mash the soup with a potato masher. I just do it by guess.
The only syns are in the stock cubes. I use 4, and it makes a big pot. So, 6 syns divided amongst a big pot isn't so much. It's really filling. I put some into plastic containers and have frozen it. I suppose you could make it using chicken bovril as stock, but i've never tried it.0 -

Just beside the others. They're Knorr, and in a yellow box. I've only seen boxes with 8 cubes in them. http://www.fooddeservesbetter.com/range_cubes.php
Don't you remember that old Knorr TV ad, with the 2 old Scottish crofters -"Pea and ham soup from a chicken, now that's clever"...
When one asked after the other’s wife Morag and the other said, ‘Ah, she’s gone to Inverness on a hen night’ the other said ‘All that way for a chicken, now that’s devotion for you…’ Then you see the old farmer's wife watching a male stripper. Aw, they were great ads. :rotfl:0 -

Consider your hand slapped! You must eat (especially breakfast!) - if you don't get your metabolism going and keep it going your body will store horrid, nasty, evil fat!
