Glad to hear of your good news SC

I just had my first Aldi optifit yoghurt and it was delicious, I only got 2 strawberry ones as I wasnt sure if they were all free. I cant beleive ive been missing out for so long, they will make a fab brekkie. Im still not sure how they can be free as they have the wholegrains in them, but im not complainging. Thanks to all for bringing these to my attention.:D

they are 250g and cost 45p. There were 3 flavours I could see, strawberry, blueberry and elderflower and a muisli one that had dated and figs. They are all free. and very filling. I wish i got more than 2

They are delicious - 250 grams and 45p I used to go through 12 a week but they used to be a lot cheaper so now I only have 6 and have one a day! I now buy Tesco own brand ones and thicken them up with a little 0% total - makes them quite nice!

  • ... another day of indian inspired cuisine..

yesterday (green) I had lamb rogan josh (2xB) for tea with lentil dahl and pilau basmati rice

Today I had Baked Bean Balti for lunch (dead quick and easy, apparently can also be made with mushy peas)

soften one chopped onion, add a chopped chilli, and 1/4tsp each ground cumin, coriander and garam masala. Add 1 large tin of beans and cook until hot through.... I had it with brown rice and vlf nat yog, but it would be good on toast too :)

Dinner tonight (also green) is a 'rice pizza' ( it is probably misuse of free food, but on this one occasion.....) I think it will be similar to a dosa, and I am looking forward to it :D ..

Essentially I have made a batter from soaked lentils and rice, and I left it all day somewhere warm and it has started to ferment (it was supposed to!!!:rotfl: ). I shall mix into this onions, ginger, garlic and chilli. It will then be cooked (a bit like a pancake), but before cooking the second side, I put sliced toms, caremelised onions, more garlic ontop, *then* flip it over (apparently!:rotfl: this bit might be messy:eek: ).... I shall report back later so you know if it worked or not!

Think I'll make a tomato/cucumber/chilli salsa salad to go on the side...

I'm rather enjoying this 'cookbook cuisine challenge sw style'!! :j
