I keep hearing about Mug Shots, but I can't find them on the Slimming World website - anyone know who makes them? (In the interests of checking the syns before I buy/eat it!)
lo_bush - is there any chance the stuffing had cheese in it, in which case you could probably justify reducing the total syns by 6 (and counting it as a HEa)?

I have decided to shake things up a bit to try to shift a little more weight. Usually (ie almost always) we do red days - I 'feel' as if my weight loss is quicker, but I have decided that the time has come to get to grips with green - so I have planned the next 3 days as green, then we can go from there..
So today -
B - yog as usual
L - Jkt pot, vlf cottage cheese, grated cheddar (B), tomato salsa, corn on the cob (from the plot), salad - lettuces, peppers, tom
D - rice with cashews (B), indian chickpea patties, vlf yog sauce, potato and vegetable curry
So here come the questions from a green newbie
 At lunch, my potato weighed about 300g - is that too much!? Now, an hour after lunch, I still feel really full - are my portions too big, or am I just not used to the carbs?
 Tonight, should the rice be wholegrain, or could it be any rice?
 Tonights dinner, whilst free on the plan, contains rice, chickpeas and potato..... is this just too much carb or shouldI stop worrying?
You can eat as much freefood as you like, however somewhere in the SW books it says 'eat enough to satisfy your appetite', so really it's your choice how large a portion you decide to have. Being full is good though, it means you won't be looking for snacks mid afternoon.
You can have any kind of rice on a green day, they're all free.
Trust in the plan!Green days are high in carbs, so your dinner is fine.

ALV - thanks for the receipe - I couldn't remember who gave it to me but thanks very much!
Its a real good comfort food dinner - nice and creamy and filling!
Don't worry about weight or quantity of ANY free food - just like your meat on a red day! I lurve my green days - just had my friends fave dinner - pasta, baked beans and cheese for lunch - stuffed but satisfied!
Mug Shots are made by Mug Shots. All noodle ones are free on green as is the tomato pasta one. The other pasta ones have low syns (1-2.5ish)

Hi ALV, as the others have said, just stop worrying. Sometimes I eat an insane amount of carbs on a green day (Looks around guiltily in case Ted Hutchison is reading this!) and the weight still comes off. I love my spuds and rice (can take or leave pasta a bit more) and this is the major reason why I do SW as opposed to anything else - any diet where spuds were banned or I was restricted to some poxy small amount wouldn't have me on it for long!0

Thanks for that Skint_Catt, but it's actually a dry packet - 120g in weight. Hopefully it won't be as high as the chilled one.

It's just the wholemeal I'm afraid and they're not that easy to findI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Well I'm afraid to admit that I put on 1/2 lb this week. Eek!! I think the problem was yesterday when I went to a Christening, was starving hungry 'cos I had brekkie quite early and the Christening wasn't until 3pm, and all the food was non-SW-friendly.
Never mind though, I've set myself a target of 4 stone loss by Xmas and as our consultant pointed out this morning, there are 15 weigh ins to Xmas!
Has anyone heard of the Piece of String motivation? My consultant introduced it last week when I wasn't there. Everyone was given a 12" piece of string. The idea is, each night before you go to bed, if you can *honestly* say that you have 100% food optimised that day, you tie a knot in the string. At the end of the week if you have been good every day you obviously have 7 knots.
Most people in the meeting today had 3 or 4 knots but one lady had 7 and she was so pleased with herself. She said the thought of being able to tie a knot in that piece of string before she went to bed really kept her on track. We were all having a good laugh about it but I'm going to try it this week.
Good luck to everyone this week!
