It makes a real difference Tractor Girl, you look good. :T It's really good to put a face to a name as I feel we've all got to know one another on here. Where's Peachyest? The only thing I can do on a computer is go on the internet and email so wouldn't have a clue how to put a photo on. I wonder if you'll inspire anyone else to put theirs on, I love seeing before and after pictures.
  • Wow Tractor Girl - you look fab - you're a great inspiration!

Wow, you can really see the difference, Tractorgirl. You must be so chuffed!

I was a bit upset yesterday and felt like just giving up the diet. Im so fed up and this rain doesn't help. But I thought that I may as well eat the SW diet as not because its not as if im hungry when Im on it. Its just difficult to plan meals for my family and me too because there are so many foods OH and DD1 won't eat. Plus I weighed myself this morning and the scales say Im a pound more than I was last time I weighed myself at the weekend.:( Im just finding it hard to believe the diet will work for me personally I suppose.

Don't give up, hun, weight goes up and down all the time but you can still get a general downward trend.

Can you post what your OH and DD will/won't eat and maybe we can come up with some new ideas for you - might just get you interested in things again?

I'm half way through a 7 week meal plan (boy is it boring LOL) but because I have to have easy to grab food at work as I only get 5 minutes here and there to eat, I absolutely must plan or I'll end up going to the garage for a pasty or something. It's also helping me, as I can buy sensibly because I know what is coming up, and I can cook double and know when the second portion will be used and how it will fit in with SW. I've had a 7 week plan for dinners for a while, BTW, it's the adding in of breakfasts and lunches I'm doing at the moment. Seven weeks is a bit extreme, but we have a lot of meals we enjoy and I have to make sure I include them all in the plan - I started with a two week plan and it has gradually expanded!

Maybe sitting down and doing a plan for a week or two would help you see where you are going with this?

Don't give up Beachbeth, I'm finding it hard too. I knew I'd gained this week and wasn't going to go to the weigh in and was on the verge of giving up. I decided at literally the last minute to go to the meeting and dashed out. I'd put on 2lbs, but feel I did something positive by going and am going to try again.

A good suggestion by 2cats1kid, let us know what your family enjoy and what they don't like and we might be able to come up with some ideas.

Wow! Well done tractorgirl, you really can see the difference, you should be really proud of yourself. Are you getting lots of comments? I've lost 3 stone too, I think we started about the same time, and whilst I'm not an attention seeker or anything like that, it would be nice if people would say something from time to time. I've had the odd comment, mainly from people that know I'm trying to lose weight, but considering how much different I think I look since losing this last stone, it does kind of get me down a bit that hardly anyone bothers to comment. (people are a bit free and easy with the negative comments when your overweight though!) I feel so much better in myself but still a little daunted that I've got around another couple of stone to lose (3 or 4 if I go by the charts ). I'd like to lose at least another stone before christmas, which should be achievable if I knuckle down. Any way WI tonight, so hopefully I'll lose a couple more pound tonight to hael me along.

Has anyone seen the new Weight Watchers ad? "It's changing" and I want to know how? (Not that I'm about to defect) but wondered if it was becoming more like SW?
