    Doesn't it go soggy??? :confused::o

maybe she means the jelly stuff? I know my dad has something from meat stock on his sandwiches..not sure if it is just scottish or national...potted haugh...it is like meat off the bone in a jelly mix..not my thing :o

    edit :

Potted Hough is a Scottish delicacy available from most butchers in Scotland. It can easily be made from home. The word hough is the Scots name for shin and the dish is usually made in a small dish to give individual or family portions. Potted hough is usually eaten cold and served on oatcakes, bread, toast, etc or like the Scottishrecipes team - eaten straight out of the wee pot!

Potted hough is not the healthiest of Scottish recipes. Ingredients for potted hough include gelatine made from the bones of the beef from which the collagen forms the gelatine and any meat from the beef. It is high in fat and is included at Scottishrecipes.co.uk for historical interest and goes some way to explain the high incidence of heart disease in Scotland!

    Thankyou Everybody.

I also got roped into doing the shop at group. Where they sell the hi-fi bars, magazines etc. This was really fun, I am a really shy person and sit on my own where no one really talks to me, so this gave me a chance to talk to everyone! I am no good at maths really so I had a calculator with me! :) I enjoyed it so much that I told my consultant that I would do it every week! I must have been feeling brave!

(p.s I think the 1/2lb gain last week was because I started back at work and it has altered mmy routine for eating etc. I don't really get a break to sit and eat at my work cos I am on my own.)
Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis) since 1996 (quite possibly Crohn's Disease).

I sometimes get roped into doing the shop or selling raffle tickets. I dont mind doing it. I get to know the members more and if no-one did it the group couldn't exist.

I've just decided on my final target that I want to reach. I started my SW journey on 31st March weighing 19 stone 4.5lb. I am currently 16 stone 4.5lb hence the shiny 3 stone sticker on the front of my book :):):) I want to be at 15 stone by Christmas and then my final target for *sometime* next year is 13 stone 7lb.

Been overweight virtually all my life and never done anything about it before now, but am really determined and focused and know I can do it.

Here is a picture of me a year ago on holiday in Dorset and one taken last week:

You're looking good there, girl! What a difference. Well done!

Your DD looks similar age to mine - does she like football too? Mine goes to Portman Road with me occasionally (I used to have a season ticket in the old north, before life took over) but is distraught because she loves Billy Clarke and he's gone out on loan!
  • Flipping 'eck Tractor Girl - its a really noticeable difference! You're obviously doing really well! (I've Pmd you the password)

WI was on Tuesday night - lost 2 1/2 lbs - was very chuffed as I wasn't sure how well I'd done and hadn't kept a food diary for the first time. The food plan must be getting a habit/second nature now rather than something I have to think about all of the time.

I started at 10st 12 wanting to get to 9st 12 and I've now at 10st 1 so just a few more lbs (3) to go - I think I'll reevaluate when I get there and see whether going down a bit further would be sustainable? I don't want to be at a weight that's thin for me but I have to constantly struggle to stay there - if I put on say 4lbs then its the start of a slippery slope for me and another stone will follow, so perhaps its better to stay at a few lbs heavier and be comfortable? I don't know - I'll just see how I feel and difficult it is to lose anymore after the stone:confused:

    Have a good day

My Dad & I had season tickets when I was still at school. Back in the 80s, the glory glory Bobby Robson days. Our first seats were in the Portman Terrace and then in the new Pioneer Stand (dont even think its called that anymore!) when it was built. Block L, row D, seats 3 and 4 (OMG I can still remember that 20+ years later!!!) We were at both legs of the 1981 UEFA Cup Final - oh that was sooooo fabulous.

Haven't been for a few years now, difficult when the kids are small, we actually don't live far from Charlton so might have to go there when we play them!
