Well I went for my WI last night, and according to her scales i had lost 1/2lb.

Now I have a dilemma, last week I posted a loss of 1lb cos I didn't go to weigh in just used home scales which are usually the same as WI scales.

So, by my reckoning, that means that I have actually put on 1/2lb ?????

NESSA - i have a new way of thinking about sts/gains.it goes like this,when i was gaining weight it was at a rate of approximately 1/2 - 1 lb per week :eek: and i'm now losing at the rate of 1 1/2 - 2 lbs per week:beer: .SO,on the basis of 'a penny saved is a penny earned' i've actually 'saved' about 50% of my weight loss too.in other words everytime i lose a pound i also lose the 1/2 pound i would have inevitably gained otherwise!does that make sense?!this helps me put into perspective just how far i've come in my attitude as well as the physical results.maybe that's a bit wooly for some people but if you've been steadily gaining weight over a period of time then just maintaining is an achievement not to be sneezed at.well i think it is anyway!:p

Funny I was just coming around to that way of thinking myself, since I stopped smoking I have put on 2 and 1/2 stone

Since February I have lost 11lbs. So that would equate to me having put on 1 stone 6 lbs if I was putting it on by 2lbs a week.
