morning all
Weigh in today, and I'm sure I have put weight on, it's just a question of how much. Oh well, the lovely food was worth it.
Just having a cup of tea, and plucking up the courage to go out in the wind and rain.
Will pop back later and confess allYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good Morning All,

Went out for a nice walk yesterday evening, and planning on doing the same today.

Hello
Just thought I would pop on quickly to recommend this book which I am currently reading.
Its called Confessions of a Reformed Dieter by A J Rochester.
Its very funny (although sad at times).
here is the synosis from the amazon website.
Synopsis
'I love food. Even worse, I love junk food. If lard could be double deep-fried I would eat it. If I could deep-fry headache pills I would. So it's no wonder I'm now the size of a small yet economically viable continent...'When A. J. Rochester is selected to feature in a television series on obesity, she is at first appalled and then resolved. At 109 kilos (17 stone), she knows she needs to lose weight - not because she yearns to become a twiglet but so she can keep up with her little boy and turn her life around at last. But after years of fighting a losing battle with the flab, A. J. knows she needs a miracle. So she decides to ditch the 'quick-fix' diets and the faddy exercise equipment and try a new approach - one that involves discovering her own inner strengths. It may not be easy - but it pays off. Confessions of a Reformed Dieter charts the highs, lows and plateaus of A. J.'s incredible journey, from overcoming an early setback - waking up in hospital with a broken leg after a drunken binge - to the triumph of shedding the first, and last, kilo.
About the Author

Thought i would say " HI" , i have been following this thread for a while now and am need of the motivation.
I started SW last oct and had lost 1 stone by mid Dec..which although not the fastest weight loss i was happy with (did fast when i was ill 2 years ago.. weight fell off me but in a very unhealthy way so am keen to have steady slow this time)Since that great loss i got to within 1 lb of my next half stone and have lost my way.. am now gaining slowly each week.
Part of my initial motivation was to get my overweight teenage daughter to help herslf in a controlled healthy manner..she has been attending meetings with me as a free to go young member and is doing brillinatly.. when i do bad she still manages to maintain or loose.. the support shes getting from the group is the best thing for her.. the success stories motivate her that she CAN do it... unfortunatly i was motivated to get her motivated as a main reason... now she doesnt need me its so HARD
So my signing up to the thread i am hoping to keep myself motivated and gain some great ideas along the way
