Hi RedMel, that tikka masala recipe , is it on lifeline online or one of your own concoctions?
Hi mellywoo, It is one from the 100 comfort foods book, dh said it was great too, really tasted like Tikka Masala. Only problem is I did overdo it on the garlic front as I was using ground garlic not fresh cloves, and I wasn't really sure how much to put in. It's a good job we both love garlic.....

gpuss, hope Ruby is ok, glad she's back home. We have a Lab x Newfie (Jasper) I would hate for something to happen to him, we have only had him a couple of months but he really is part of the family now.
I have been really good the last two days, so here's hoping it can continue for the rest of the week. Just need to fit some exercise in somewhere as I have been sat down for two days solid doing an essay. I am doubly pleased I have been good because usually at assignment time I get very stressed, and when i'm stressed I could eat for Britain..........

Well Good Morning everyone, I am very confused this morning, I am sure everyone knows by now I really am not the best at sticking to things, but that said this week I have really cut done and been walking to and from work and also going for a walk in the evenings (not just strolling either!) Hopped on the scales this morning (I know I shouldn't) and it says I have gained 4 ponuds:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: (one for each pound!)
I cant think of any reason for this and with wi tomorrow I am now totally fed up!:mad: To add to everything my ankle has decided to start hurting as and when it feels!!!!

Ignore the scales, I weigh myself every morning, and sometimes I can gain 2 lbs for no reason at all, and then the next day, it's gone again
Don't get fed up or you will blow it today and binge. Be really good and you will probably find the 4 lbs has disappeared again by tomorrowYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I couldn't put it better than that. I sometimes gain 2, 3 or 4 lbs day to day. It's most likely fluid in your body which changes with hormonal levels. Don't let it throw you off, you're doing great Choccie mate xxxxx

Hi all
I joined SlimmingWorld on Monday - I've tried to diet for the last couple of months without much success.
I'm really confused over what foods I can and can't eat on green days though...in particular Batchelors Super Noodles (Barbecue beef) and Uncle Ben's egg fried rice.
My wife has done SlimmingWorld before and is convinced that these are free on green days - but when I look in the starters pack at the red/green book it lists egg friend rice as being 0.5 syns for 28g on a green day which would make a 250g pack of rice approx 4.5 syns??????
I used to be with weight watchers and although I didn't stick to it I must say that their online support is 100 time better than the Slimming World site
I'm going to try and call my group leadershortly to ask her but thought I'd try and get a straight answer here first.

I was told at this weeks meeting that batchelors super noodles are only free if you have the fat free ones, which iv found in smokey bacon and chicken and herb flavour. They used to be called 99% fat free they have been renamed fat free and are on offer at tescos 3 for £1 at the minute.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0

I started SW monday night (my 4th time on the plan) Always mess up my wieght loss and then give up :rolleyes:
But am determined this time.
I was just wondering if anyone knew much about the home made soup side of things. I am making a big batch of chicken soup today and am thinking it should be next to no sins.
I have
1 whole chicken (which the skin will be removed from the stock once cooked)
Swede
leeks
onion
carrot
and about 16 pints of water.
Oh - and 4 chiken and 1 vegetable stock cube.
Any ideas how I would go about working out syns? It would just be for the stock (red day only im interested in) It cant be high can it?
