    Hi all,
Would anyone advise how i'd got about unlockin a rather old but still fully functional Ericsson t29 mobile. Its currently locked to T-mobile and my understandin is that they should be able to unlock for free seeing as i have had it forever..

Customer services, the T29 was a great phone, the T39 was way ahead of it's time, I have both :D

    Hi,

As I said in another thread, my relative is selling an Orange branded HTC Desire which I'm interested in.

I've had a look around at various deals, including GiffGaff, and decided that Tesco PAYG looks reasonable with their £2 for 100MB / week internet access deal; this is a bit more flexible than the "unlimited" (but means 500MB) £10 top up deals I've seen from other suppliers.

I don't know a lot about unlocking but I presumably need to unlock this phone before I can move it away from Orange? I've also read where sometimes it is not possible to unlock HTC phones from certain networks for a period of time.

Can anyone tell me if I can unlock it (it's about a month old) and how much it will cost (I've heard £10-15 is typical).

    Thanks,
    D

agree , I'd avise anyone to avoid dodgy "free" codes and bite the bullet to pay a shop or market stall to do the unlock

Hmmm, I've tried going to the shop (vodafone) to get my Vodafone Samsung sgh-zv60 unlocked but they (Vodafone) refuse to supply the unlock code. Not to my face of course, they take all the details needed and do nothing. I've been trying to get this phone unlocked for nearly a year now.

It's not in contract and I'll not be using a Vodafone sim in it as I find them extremely unhelpful and a total waste of space. They don't have a customer service department. They just ignore you or find ways to not help.
