I'm pondering purchasing the Samsung Steel at the moment, the problem being that I can only ever get a signal on Orange in my area. Has anybody managed to unlock it? Google isn't providing my with much info regarding unlocking this model. In the past I have unlock all my phone using software and USB cables, is this method possible? If not, how/where did you get it unlocked and how much did it cost?

Failing all that, looks like I may have to plump for a U600 or G600 on Orange. Better phones, maybe, but was hoping to get something a bit cheaper for the moment.

On Hotdeals people say they phone up voda and ask them for the unlock code.
Some claimed to have had the phone for 12 months and got the code for free.

I have just got a samsung tocco phone thats currently locked on Vodafone and would like to use an 02 pay n go sim.

I have tried to find somewhere local to do it but can't find anyone in the Devon area, i have been online and £13 seems to be the going rate.... do these people know were going in to a Recession!!

Does anyone know where i can get it done cheaper online? or even better free!!!!!
