Morning all, am on the phone to my friends and family this morning trying to locate my things. i know where my fridge and freezer are. They have had a holiday with my garden furniture in the dales. My sofa's are enjoying themselves or should i say being enjoyed by my dad. Sorry Dad, Get off. My frienda have offered me their bed as they are getting a new one. I wish i knew where i put my bed. How the hell do you lose a bed. My telly is in a garage. Sorry mice but you will have to do without tales of the riverbank. Want my Telly back. Think will just go through my contacts and ask if i have left anything with them. Would be easier. Anyone who knows me, do you have anything that belongs to me. Hee hee. Am working tonight, My poor residents. Am as giddy as kipper. They wont get any sleep.

Hi Smashed, just found your thread. Congrats on the house, hope this is the year for you and that things have turned around.
At least you've been offered another bed if yours doesn't turn up. x

Yes i know, At least if it does turn up i will have a spare for second bedroom. Agent rang and said the LL is going to do a bit of work on house. Not sure what as the house has been fully refurbished. But moving date is still 1st April. I never ever thought this day would come when i think back to how i was before christmas. Oh yes found my christmas tree and my lawn mower. Tree was in a storage room at my last place of work and my lawn mower is in my dads spare room. God love him. Actually the lawn mower is the last thing i wanted to find. I am not a garden type person. Like to sit in them and look at them. But gardening. Nah.

are you going to get a lodger for the second bedroom or do you just want the place to yourself for a bit?
With you on the gardening I'm afraid, as long as it's tidy that's it for me!

I can afford the house on my own. But and its a big but. I will be working all hours god sends to keep up. Or should i say it would be nice for once to able to breathe easy for once, so will be looking for a lodger almost as soon as i get in. will have the first month on my own to get things sorted. And it will take that amount of time to get a lodger anyway. Having a lodger will give me the that bit of extra income, I may only have a lodger for six months. It will give me chance to get some of my debts paid off and maybe a little emergency fund put away. I have got the age now whereby i cant risk going through all this turmoil again. I honestly dont thing i could it all again. Have sked my friend for a white board. Am doing the IA route of paying debts off. If i can see them going down in black and white each time i pay something then it will keep me focused. Thank god i dont actually have to buy anything for the house. When you have been with someone for nearly 25 yrs you amass an awful lot of stuff. It all maybe a little worn but its all mine. And i am NOT getting credit for anything. If i want anything i will save for it or go onto freecycle.

I have looked up my council tax banding. I am in band B. So with my single allowance for now until i get a lodger is around 750.00 Its a hell of a lot better than being in band E from previous house. Feel a lot better knowing i can afford the rates this year.

Hi peeps, a quick update on house, Because i have managed to get extra shifts in this week my moving in date has come forward by five days. And i am also booked up for the whole of easter. So with extra shifts and the bank holiday shifts, i will end up having almost another weeks wage in my account. I am going in to agents tomorrow to sign the papers.

An update, Got my payslip today for this week. It was a lot more than i expected. I got a 600.00 tax rebate. I think my face was a picture when i opened the envelope. I thought a mistake had been made at first. But nope. Its all mine. So am able to bring the move forward yet another week. So get the keys on thursday now instead of 28th. Have done another long week, so hopefully i will be a little bit in front with things now. Have located nearly all my belongings. And have arranged for a friend to help me move the big stuff in. I wont settle though until i have the keys in my hand. Have been having a few sleepless nights again thinking it will all go wrong. Got to stay positive. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
