When my OH and I moved into our current house we were subject to Credit Checks. We had between us debts to about 20 different creditors, all defaulted and at the time we were paying token payments of £1 per month to each. Our check came back fine and we didnt even need a guarantor, although luckily my OH's father had said he would do so if it came to it. Fingers crossed for you x

Thanks Melvis, that makes me feel a little better, Right now am writing a list of where all my possessions are. Then when i getthem back all in one place i can start putting a load of stuff on Ebay again. I dont need half the stuff. In fact it wont fit into house. I have lost my bed somewhere in transit. God only knows where that got to. So maybe i will have to buy a new one.

Remember freecycle for furniture when you have got your new place sorted-even if it's just a bed frame from there and you buy a cheapy new mattress till you are properly back on your feet again ;)

    hi smashed
I was going to say the same about freecycle. There are often beds on my forum in Bucks.

I would be a bundle of nerves to in your situation, just because you want it so much. Then you can start getting the rest of your life sorted out. Ref the bills will the letting agent know what the bills will be, or could find out. They will certainly know the council tax band that the house will be in, so that would at least let you know what that bill will be.

    Regards

I am with that right now. The previous rates are from last year but have made an arrangement with those to pay so much a month from the arrears. Believe me the last 2and half years have been the worst i can think of. And i will never go down the route of having another nervous breakdown. Not EVER. I have landed myself a fab job with good money. And for once in my life i can that side of things coming together. Then i can start on the head and heart side of things. But right now they have a very big door in front of them. And its going to take something spectacular to open those up.

    Hi

You should be able to find out your Council tax banding via this site.

    http://www.voa.gov.uk/cti/InitS.asp?lcn=0

Remember the single person's discount too.

    Best of luck with everything.
