Sorry in mentioned in the report already,. but I can't see it-
Tesco credit card
0.5% in clubcard, but converts to equal 2% in clubdeals or airmiles
( over and above the normal tesco points for shopping in Tesco)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I agree with 'payless' I think Tesco is a good card and have used it for several years, We also use Saga for europe as they do not charge for overseas transactions.0

The American Express Platinum Credit Card application form says there is a total charge for credit of £89. Surely that must reduce the competitiveness of its cashback rates?0

Accucard also offer .5% cashback and I've been with them now for about a year with no problems.
However the best deal I ever came accros was Halifax. I took out a credit card with them and spent £30 in the first month and they gave me £50 for doing it. I paid of the balance without incurring any interest and haven't used the card since (because the cash back rate is rubbish).
I haven't seen an offer like that since and doubt if I'll see one again!0 -

This is another silly regulation. Credit Card companies all now include a 'total cost of credit', which basically assumes that you make a purchase of £1000 on day 1 and then pay it off in equal installments during the year. Of course, no-one actually does that, so I really don't believe it brings any clarity to the customer -- but who actually expects regulators to do things that make sense?
The Amex platinum credit card is still no annual fee.0 -
Why is the Co-op Bank Dividend Credit Card never mentioned? I get 1p in the £ back on purchases in the Co-op, and 1p in £2 back on all other purchases. My maths isn't too good, so someone else will have to do the percentages for me!
A warning for idiots like me who never use ATMs. Don't use a credit card! I got charged £3 per transaction AND interest. Apparently, I should have used my Debit card!0 -

Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0 -

Me too, though new customers get 0.5% maximum.
My anniversary is October and I suspect the cashback will be cut to 0.5% then, though I hope I am proved wrong.0 -
I agree that Tesco is the best deal - 0.5% x 4 = 2% - you can't beat that for a permanent offer.0
