With Morgan Stanley you get cashback of 1% on first £2000 pa and 0.5% thereafer and unlike Egg and Halifax haven't started with 1% and cut back to 0.25% Halifax and 0.1 Egg green card - why would I bother with the blue card from Egg as they will do just the same again and the starting 0.5 % only matches Morgan Stanley.
If you shop at Sainsburys then the Nectar AMEX card with the nectar loyalty card thrown in is probably best overall if limited to a small number of outlets.

I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but Nationwide are no longer offering their cashback cards to new applicants.

This article in Money Telegraph gives the background.

existing holders now only get .25% not the .50 mentioned in Martin's article

You get x% back of the total spend each year (its an incentive to make you spend more on the card).

I don't know if this has been posted before - If you have a Morgan Stanley card you can virtually get 5% off most purchases by using the vouchers in their on-line offers.
You can buy £100 worth of vouchers for £95. Vouchers are available for M & S, John Lewis, Boots, B & Q, W.H. Smith, BHS, etc.
You can mix each £100 of vouchers between any of the stores. There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many vouchers you can buy.
I have been doing this for over a year. The vouchers are sent recorded delivery (post free) within two working days.
    Born to shop;)

Yes, that's right. You need to log in and select the "Savvy deals" link (this may have recently been renamed to "Offers").

Don't forget, it's only a 5% discount if you need to and also actually use-up all the vouchers.
