If the car park was McCausland's, they're well known for this kind of incident...

Anyway, forgot to mention that when I was last away, I used Easypark as well. No bother finding it, and the service was excellent - would heartily recommend it.

Just a quick update - I contacted the car park operator earlier today and was advised that they carry out an inspection of all cars before their staff move them from the forecourt to the parking area. He stated that they had noticed damage to the back nearside wing of the car and this was noted on their records.

There was some paint scrathes on the back bumper but the damage I was referring to was definitely not ther when I left the car at the car park. I guess as I can't prove the damage was caused at the car park, I will have to put it down to experience.

Next year I think I will get a lift or take a taxi - it's probably cheaper in the long run!!

Tried to use Easypark last weekend but they have been advised not to take any more bookings until they have got proper planning permission sorted out.

Can confirm that Easypark are taking bookings again - they have some sort of on-going planning permission issue regarding their sign at the end of the road, but they are open for business, sign or no sign. £15 a week for parking by an international airport...bargain!!!

Thats very good £15 a week. Is Easypark far off the main road and approx. how long is it to the airport?

I was thinking of leaving my car there and my other half said would it be safe? Does anyone know what security arrangements they have there?

    Hi there Sunni

Just swanned back from my hols tonight. My car was safe and sound at Easypark for the past week - £15 spent, but about £30 saved by avoiding the competition.

Anyway, I can PM you their phone number if you'd like, and you can quiz them on their security, insurance etc etc. I'm satisfied with them, though I don't drive the sort of car that gets joy riders frothing at the mouth.

BTW one of the big hire car firms there has recently started a contract with them to store all their vehicles - can't remember the name of it, but easypark will be holding 50 or so of their vehicles over the slower winter season. Don't work for them, nowt to do with them in fact, just happy that I wasn't ripped off.

They are about a minute drive from the airport front door btw. You leave your car with them and then they drive you to the airport. On your return give them a call when you've got your bag and they'll drive out and get you.

    HTH

    Hi SnowyOwl

Hope you had a nice time away. Yeah I'm sure that easypark is fine. They seem to provide a great service and I already got the number - its somewhere on this post.

I know what you mean about not being ripped off! £15 a week is very good and I'll just go ahead and book our car in.

    Thanks for your help
