Just to show what happens when you don't use this site.
I know of someone who recently got a great deal on the net for a family holiday for 2 weeks. He spent the previous couple of weeks before departure telling everyone how good a deal it was. The day arrived, they drive to Aldergrove and park in the airport car park, and fly out for 2 weeks in the sun.
Then they arrive back, having thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, and stick the ticket in the machine to pay.
it reads...... £506
Parked in the short stay by mistake, and wiped out the savings on the holiday, plus a bit extra.
Just shows......it pays to be a moneysaver:rolleyes:0 -

To be honest, the airport should have some way of dealing with this. At the very least they should have towed the car when it was obvious the owner was not returning. Beyond anything else it is a security thing. The car was in an area that someone should stay for only a matter of minutes to hours and is in an area closest to people and infrastructure. If someone were to want to bomb the airport and make a getaway to another country, this looks to me to be a pretty full proof way of doing it!2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -

That's true......but I doubt it would get him out of paying the bill.
BTW...wonder how many government computers around the world are now reading this thread because of the words 'bomb the airport and make a getaway'.0 -
Used easypark for the first time. Excellent service and even better price. Would reccommend. Thanks to OP about this service.0

Long stay carpark for 10 days is £33 (not bad) and walking distance from terminal, book it with purple parking online for £31.50, go through Quidco first and get 5% cashback too.
Saves you having to phone for lifts to other Car parksI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

I would have got a taxi home, went to the nearest car auction or picked up autotrader and bought the cheapest hunk of junk with 4 wheels that runs (<£50) then parked it in the short say - used that ticket on the way out with my own car, and paid the £1.50 for parking 30 mins! (Using false name & addy of course when you picked up the car).0 -

Can anyone pass on advice on best place to park at Aldergrove for 2 weeks?
Regards Paul
Paul, if you read this post you would see that easipark offers a service for £3 a day but you need to prebook. Also, there are other recommendations from other moneysavers who have responded. Its would be well worth taking a bit of time to read through all the replies and then make an informed decision.happiness is being able to have one more drink0
