Tesco use o2 network . I did have an old o2 mobile but the sim didnt fit the tesco mobileJSF wrote:.... anyone know what network Tesco use, I suspect it will be Orange, T mobile, O2 or vodaphone. I only ask as I got some old phones that are locked to some of these so not worth me paying to get them unlocked, but might be worth gettin the sim for the free mins as the Sim should work if on the same network.0 -
Ive bought the tesco "value sim" as for the price I am getting more than £3 for nowt plus a free sim. Thought it would be a good spare for the kids-or to keep in the car etc. 5p texts better than orange after all. cant realy go far wrong.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

As this is o2, will the sim work in an O2 locked phone?0

yes it should do as it is "piggy backed" on to o2,(fresh,virgin,t-mobile & easy mobile sims all work in the same way, formerly the old one-one network).
in my experience tesco mobile(o2) has possibly the best coverage, used to be bt cellnet a few years backnever put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0 -

Interesting how o2 lets tesco use its own network, especially given the nature of tesco's offer - which may sound fantastic, but when one starts reading the small print it becomes clear that it only suits a very specific group of people..._____

Very true - I thought it was a good deal until I thought about it. This only suits low users who only user their phone in the UK. When I thought about this, I realised that the 300 free text offer is better for my wife - for a £10 a month top-up she gets £30 (£15 in Tesco Value tems) of texts on top of £10 of calls.0 -
Another thing you might not be aware of on the Tesco Value Tariff. You cannot use the E-Top up card. You have to buy vouchers in a Tesco Shop only,or top up by Debit/Credit Card.PF.0

Be aware though that you can both receive and call abroad on their Value sim its just that you cannot go 'roaming' so no good for the French weekenders but for those going 'long haul' note that sims available abroad (e.g Thailand ) are as cheap as chips.0

Sorry I'm confused, what's the diffrerence between roaming and recieving / making calls abroad?
Thanks.0
