First of all we all agree that everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their time and money.
Secondly, please don't take this the wrong way.
Thirdly, why in God's name would you want to spend your honeymoon at or near Disney - which, together with all the other tourists attractions in Orlando,is a piece of man-made Americana on an otherwise dull piece of swampland in the flattest, dullest part of the USA.
Surely there's got to be somewhere more memorable or romantic that you can look back upon when you're in your dotage and think what a great place it was to spend your honeymoon.
If it's money your worried about then forget Orlando - there are millions of cheaper nicer places in the States. For that matter there are millions of cheaper and nicer places in Florida.
Leave Orlando until you and your intended have kids - because that's really what the place is designed for.
What about the Keys or the Gulf of Mexico or New Orleans or Miami.
    Orlando ?

NJ, I do understnd what you are saying. I know it is not for everyone but for some people DW is a 'dream holiday' and if you are only going to get one chance to go abroad then why not make it somewhere you have always wanted to go?

I know a lot of people hate Disney but many don't and want to go whether or not they have kids. It was a dream of mine as a child to go to Disney, when m nan died she left me some money, enough to pay for a holiday, so I went. Nowadays it would take me 4 years to save enough money to go again (or Tesco CC vouchers which helped last time :) ) but while it is not for everyone for some people, who are only ever going to get one chance at being able to go somewhere like this, they want to make the most of it.

10 years ago I would have done the exact same thing - but I did mention to the OP that it was going to be busy and maybe she should consider a beach resort for week 1. My friends like nothing more than being on the beach all day every day - I cannot imagine anything more mind numbingly boring and would much prefer to drag everyone out of bed at 7am to get ready for a days walking around Disney!! The afternoon I spent by the pool I was chomping at the bit as we was not doing 'anything' but the kids did need that break (lightweights, LOL!!) :)

Big kids and little kids of course :) I reckon the big kids have more fun than the little ones though!!
