Went to the Works in Broadmead, Bristol, this morning and no signs of it closing down, did get some bits and bobs though so not a wasted journey.Addicted to comping. Thank you to all who post comps xx0 -
Chatted to the staff in the Lincoln branch today. 85 shops are being closed, then the rest will be sold as a going concern, they hope.
As far as they know that branch will stay open, unless no buyer can be found for the whole business.
There's a limited assortment of cards at 10 for £1.0 -
Went to Feltham today for the bargains - and no such luck - no special offers just the usual 3 for 2 on the cards0

In Telford Shopping centre they've got 25% off some books, 50% off some card making stuff, All christmas stuff 5p, Canvas 4 pack for £2.99p (I'm planning on drawing Winnie The Pooh Pics on & painting them for my sons nursery).You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0

yup thats right by sil is a management accountant for the works and they r closing a lot of shops, she is hoping they will be bought by someone. Apparently there have been a couple of bids but they have been turned down0 -
Nothing at all exciting at the S!!!!horpe branch this morning. They had the usual posters on the window about lots of reductions in store, but I didn't see anything extraordinary, just the usual. No 'bag of cards for £1' either!
