A nutraceutical spammer. Who hoo!
Ever since my teens I've suffered periodically from what looks like a glue sniffer's rash around the nose - it flares up and down with my cycle.
Over the years, I've had a variety of treatments from long courses of antibiotics (erythromycin, mainly) to a number of creams and gels (the one that bleached all my linens and had to be kept in the 'fridge was memorable) to the metrogel I'm using now.
Now I've started the menopause (), the rash is all over the place and starting to creep up inside my nostrils!!
Metrogel as part of the base under a sunscreen moisturiser and as gentle a scrub as I can find.
Much good it's done me.....:( Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
I have mild roseaca and used Metrogel, until I was told by a different chemist to ask for the cream rather than the gel!!!! Seems the cream works better under cosmetics, something to do with the gel reacting with your face creams etc. I never knew that??????
My face actually was great for ages and I stopped using the Rozex for months all well. Then the sun happened and bang up it flared. Because my tube was out of date I repeat prescriptioned it and then chemist said to use the cream version.0 -
ive just been diagnosed with this spent a fortune on different creams. Boots botanics for men with ginseng (face cream moisturiser and also facewash) works for me. Btw, I dont work for Boots ot have shares in them!COPD sufferers need nebulisers to help with breathing at home and free up hodpital beds. There is just one nebuliser available on the NHS for every 300 sufferers. A nebuliser costs just £60. Please consider donating to COPD nurses.0

I have rosacea. I found keeping a food diary to see what my triggers were helped.
I am on top of the worst of the symptoms using very gentle products and avoiding red wine which is my biggest trigger (or using lots of concealer when I drink red wine. I go through a lot of concealer)
Lancôme vissionairre bizzarly brought down the worst of my redness. I know it's not what it's for but I was given a sample tube and thought I may as well use it.0 -
anything from La Roche Posay Effaclar range is great for ace and redness, also for sensitive skin Bioderma Sensibio products I've found are really good. There's a moisturiser in this range, which really calms redness in the skin,
Hope that helps!

After seeing Jamie recommend a cream on this page I have been using the proskin rosacea by mama nature and it has worked absolute wonders. I would say my rosacea is now 90% cured and to be honest I'll settle for that.
I found this cream very cooling in my inflamed skin and it really seems to have amazing healing properties. I also love this company as they seem to care (for a change).0
