I have almost zero belief in ghosties and ghoulies. I do however believe in some kind of energy we don't understand yet, I just don't believe they're dead people.
Saying that, I had a weird experience in a hotel room once. I was at the odd state between asleep and awake when I swear I saw a demon type thing on the ceiling. I jumped out of bed, slammed the lights on and stuck my fists up ready to defend myself all within 1 nanosecond! Very strange. I am not prone to flights of fancy and nothing like this has happened before or since.

I have experienced sleep paralysis when I was about 15, it is the the single most sinister thing that has ever happened to me, for years I was convinced there was deffo an entity on my chest, I could feel the weight, it felt like it was cm's from my face and was breathing on me, I felt like I had a sack or a hood over my head and I could not speak or even open my eyes, my arms and legs would not move, I was terrified. Now I try to look at it logically but there's still 50 percent of me that is convinced it was something else, my childhood home was super spooky and there was always something happening there. Having said that I do believe in the supernatural and frequently experience cold spots on my legs and swirling 'vortexes', this sounds really weird but there you go. I was in my sister's house not so long ago and took a picture of my nephew playing with his train set and there was a really good orb on the picture, also I took one of my son at christmas and there is a huge one right next to him, now I know some people say they are dust or insects but I'm not so sure, I'll try and post them on here and you can all make your own minds up, who knows anyway, I like to keep an open mind.

Aww bless, I used to do this, if you truly feel someone is there, tell them to go away, you don't want to speak to them. Also try to relax and don't be scared of your bedroom, it's your personal space, sleep should be relaxing and calm, read a nice book or find a nice picture you can look at before bed that makes you feel happy, perhaps even listen to music with a warm milk.

I had an episode of SP on Friday night - so did my housemate!!!!!

I put it down to disturbed sleep due to the very windy weather - at one point I was convinced the whole house was shaking!

I'm a nurse and work at night. We always experience more "happenings" when the weather is bad.

My mother feels things like this from time to time when she is alone in her house,
She has quite a couple of times felt somebody or something pressing down on her chest, has seen somebody stood in the alcove in her bedroom.
She has seen something scurrying across the floor in the bedroom, she had a troll ornament that she used to keep on a shelf in the spare bedroom,is convince it was this so she went to check the next day and found that it was laying broken on the floor, she has kept it locked in a filing cabinet since then.I have to say that my mother is not scared by any of it.
Over the last weekend my 8 year old DD was staying with her grandmother and is convinced that twice she say somebody standing in the hallway.
I wonder if seeing things like this runs in familys.

Yes - I've had this a few times too, and it's very odd - you can be absolutely sure that you're awake and that things are happening around you, but you just can't move.

In previous episodes, I've been convinced that I knew the people, could hear them talking to me and everything.

    It's a natural psychological phenomenon :p
