    Good Morning all

AnW'sMum I am glad you are ok. You are further along in the book than me - she has just been to the babyshow. I only read a couple of pages a night then I'm asleep.

Washing on the line - well most of it - one sheet I dragged in a muddy puddle to that part is back in the sink.

Cleared OH office floor of the ebay stuff and have stored it in my secret cupboard. 4 things to put on later, the rest is upstairs to go into the loft for the NCT sale next month.

Will try to find some time this week to get the filing done in OH office and then there is only the kids pictures to go and that room will be sorted.

    DS3 room next today
    DS2 room to hoover
    Make sheppard Pie
    Make soup
Make a 2 egg cake - as that is how many eggs I have - might do an eves pudding
    Write shopping list
    ironing
DS1 to sort school bag - check his books
    DS3 spellings and reading
    Phone manure man
    Investigate Isa

    Best make a start then!

AnW'sMum - lovely to hear from you. You should be so proud of the way you've coped through all of this. Your two are so lucky to have such a brave mum. Hugs to you.

I'm going to do a few more bits today (don't worry Lil_me I promice I won't do too much!) but not sure what yet. Need to go to Mr Ts for more school uniform at some point.

I love chopsticks...we went for chinese food last night and they're ideal for under the cast...I know, I know you're not supposed to scratch but I just had to and was very careful!

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday xx

Ooh - forgot to mention that I took on board the comment by someone or other during the week about letting off balloons and the potential problems it causes wildlife. So, when I went to Mr T this afternoon, instead of letting a balloon go, I took the daffs out of the vase in the kitchen that I'd put there for AnW'smum and her family with me. My Mr T's is v. close to a river so I went and stood on the bridge and dropped the daffs in and watched them slowly drift down the river to the sea. I hope that's appeased the environmentalists - it did feel quite good actually for me.

That would be me! :o Tbh the consequences of this had never occurred to me until last week when I found a leaflet someone had left lying around and I was shocked. I will never be buying helium filled balloons again for my children. Apparently plastic shopping bags do the same thing - turtles have been found with them in their stomachs. Since I read that I have avoided plastic bags and try to make sure I have my own bags with me. Remembering is taking a bit of getting used to though!

    Morning all

Not much happening here today, DS is back in bed and DH has just gone to the gym and l'm lazing in my dressing gown. Might go swimming later, need to get bits from shop, got IL's for tea tomorrow and I'm not going tomorrow out if the weather forecast is right.

Have got DW on and put a beef goulash into SC. Need to do some washing as DH needs some shirts to take away with him. Will be watching Crufts too as my dogs breeder always does well, his brother is tipped this year to do well although she normally wins best of breed - didn't think mine was top dog this morning when he nicked a piece of beef out the fridge!!!

AnW good to hear from you, sounds like you need to start looking after yourself, hugs
    Michelle hows Charlie today?

    See you all later x

  • Hey everyone,

Kinda fell off the radar... Mum came to visit - which always seems to result in me feeling like this :wall: which then makes me feel :( *use of emoticons saves on need for long story :rotfl:

SO although I have not been posting I have still been flying - Kids rooms done and more work done upstairs. Slowly getting there....

Cooker delivered on Friday - I saw them unpack it, I saw them very carefully carry it in, I signed for it and went out. Arrived home just before DH so when he came in we were looking at it - and I found 3 chips in the enamel on the front panel (could have cried - my eyesight is terrible!) So he phone up and they are going to exchange - phew. (and I will have my glasses on next time and my nose right up to the enamel!)

AnWsmum - it is lovely to see you back - you have all been in my thoughts (hugs)

Soappie - I am not sure how high your gutters are but a cheap plastic slotted spoon was the perfect tool when I did ours. You can also get mesh stuff that you can put over the gutters that stops leaves or large debris finding its way in to them in the 1st place. i.e. to clear the back section of gutters all I need to do is pop the hose up there and let it run and the job is done. There is no mesh at the front - might be an idea to put some there - another job to add to the task folder :o

ok better get a wriggle on DH should be back from MIL & FIL's soon so better get the little people dressed so we can do something. We went out for lunch yesterday and it was fantastic just really relaxing - nowhere to dash off to etc.

Hope you all have a fab Sunday!

    Morning everyone.

Yes defo got the lurgy. Nose like a tap and a cough. Got plenty of stuff to help it go. No surprise as its going round work. Today its its washing, ironing and a general tidy.

AnWsmum Big hugs to you and the little ones. Still thinking of you.

Bellie Havent got my heating on either. Im loathe to make the fat cats fatter. I tend to just put the gas fire on in sitting room if needed. Radiators come on in the mornings for a couple of hours then a couple of hours before I go to bed. The money is better off in my pocket than theirs. I think of chocolate the same way these days. I get fatter they get richer. Its only solidified fat and sugar. Not that I dont have any but it does tend to be just now and again. Sorry rant over lol.

Lil_me I know what you mean about managing to save instead of spending.
I retire next year so want cc paid off and loan with bank. Im managing to save as well. I put any silver in my change in a jar. Plan not to raid it till xmas. Plus Im sure the clothes I already have will last me for a long time. I now tend to think do I want that item or do I need it. Books are my worst downfall.

Off to sort shopping out and tackle ironing.

    Morning everyone, totally knackered here.

Kids really enjoyed last night and it hasn't changed abit since i was wee. DD even went down the freefall, DS1 tried twice to get on it and the man told him he was too small and DS1 told him ''no i'm not, i'm a big boy'':rotfl: so DS1 was in abit of a mood so explained that maybe next year.

All the men that went slipped of to bowling and left us to look after the kids:mad: , hubby enjoyed it.

Oh and to add my sister and her fella landed at 11 last night to have a few drinks, i stayed awake till 2 and headed for bed. They were still up this morning at 8. All kids up and 3 adults snoring in the livingroom, hope there all hungover.:rotfl:

Jill it hasn't changed at all, not one bit since i was wee. Now in indeanaland (sp) teens and adults can go in after 8pm, our group left at 8 last night and the que of teenagers was unbelievable, i don't know how they got them in there was at least 50.

AnW'smum glad to hear from you and i hope you are looking after yourself and relaxing, it's so easy to forget.

    Dusty well done on ebay.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Right this will prob turn into a massive post as I read and catch up with you all properly!!!

Poohbear wonderful news about DH's ring :) I know just what you mean, I wear DH's on a chain round my neck. They both have our initials and wedding date engraved on them.

Nicki sorry to hear your news but go girl go ;) you will get through this and be stronger as a result. Hope the meeting on Friday went well

Pigpen you'll be back by the time you read this, hope crufts was good, great news about the school choice as well. And OMG  PP is watching us from afar :p we can't escape even while you are at crufts!!!!

Lil_me well done on the debt busting :) they should be able to refund the overpayment, usually takes a few days to process. Love the daffy name btw :) On the parking issue, make sure you keep any notes pushed through the door and copies of any notes you send as evidence if needed at a later date.

Michelle sounds like your GP receptionist is in the wrong job if handling a sample jar freaks her out. Hope Charlie is much better now, you need to be slowing down girl. You should not need to start mat leave early. Can't remember the details but (assuming you could afford to) you can take unpaid leave from work to look after Charlie, it's there somewhere in law, sorry I can't be more specific at the moment, might help though. The idea of a mini flylady meet is a great one :) I could bring those clothes for Charlie as well. Reading through there's you, me, Pen Pen, Tracy, Pigpen, Poohbear

Jill hugs hope you managed to get all the passports sorted now, it's such a pain and makes me shiver just remembering about our saga just after DH died

Chasing Butterflies love the confession :rotfl: think you can be excused, sounds like those costumes were fantastic, hope you got some good pics of the kids wearing them.

LG my wedding dress was three pieces! Bodice, skirt and train. I ended up having it made. The bodice and train were blue and the skirt ivory, the gasps in church when I arrived! 'it's blue' main thing was DH loved it :D My sis had a bridesmaid dress which she sewed some sequins/seed pearls on to jazz it up a bit more.

Soappie you are right on just about all counts regarding the verdict. Been doing the what ifs for 21 months. Obviously I did not know all that was going on at work and hearing it all this week there has been a sense of 'why didn't they do something' He was a damn good police officer and had a great way of dealing with people. The thing is it won't bring him back, my priority has to be A and W and their well being.

Vanilla great news on the nomination :) and awwwwwww at your kids going to grannies so you could rest. Know what you mean about giving your a coronary though! Whilst it's scary that they left the house they went straight to granny's.

Jill don't give yourself a hard time over the weight loss, you have so much on your plate with the LOs and it is no time since DD was born.

Kaz glad the french student had a good time and thanks for your kind words.

Dusty hope DS had a great birthday, I had a rose on my lapel the first day and a mini daff the second day. We went to see DH yesterday and his daffs are starting to open up :)

Fallen Angel Shelley sorry to hear about the depression, make sure you take it easy and celebrate the tasks you do manage rather than those you don't. Great news about your ex sil :)

Mudbath sorry to hear about your wrist, must be very frustrating but brownie points for your OH for the feeding ;) lol @ the chopsticks!

Serena glad your mum is settled in he new place, it sounds lovely. Had to laugh at your escapology attempts when younger!

Taffy I shall post the piglet costume next week, might have finished the shopaholic book by then so if it's owner doesn't want it back (can't remember what she said!) I'll post that as well ;)

Ashes to Ashes I have missed a couple  am hoping they will be repeated soon as I wanted to tape them all to keep. The first series was so good and the first one of this was so well done. Oh well
