Just flitting in and out again...

Three loads of washing, and the weekly shop done today, as well as various kids' taxi runs.

This afternoon I visited Mum at the home that she was moved to on Monday. It is really lovely, very new, spotless, and her room is very nice indeed. Dad had bought her a TV and also a radio/cd player. Mum looked quite relaxed, but she did say something about it only being temporary - she isn't always completely sure of what is happening, and I didn't want to upset her by making it clear she won't be able to go home, so just said she could stay there as long as she wanted.

Driving home, I just felt as if a huge weight was lifting - I know there's going to be no improvement in her health, but at last she's out of hospital, and will be getting much more attention and care. The staff had given her a welcome card, and a bunch of roses when she arrived, which I thought was really nice.

Tomorrow I shall be planting the hedge, if the weather is okay - it's been raining and windy since lunchtime.

    Have a good day everyone.

Still thinking of you AnW's mum.

Vanilla - as a child I was an escapologist as well. I dragged the chair over and unbolted the fromt door to get a lolly from the icecream man when I was four. And I was younger than that when I asked someone on the path that ran alongside our garden to lift me over please. They did too. I also nearly gave my mum a heart attack, by climbing out to sit on to the upstairs windowsill and waving and calling to her in the garden. And my three wonder why the house has bolts/deadlocks and window locks!! They are all much better behaved than I was as a child.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be

Hey Jill, last night was a potential dodgy area as we were at a ceilidh ... I think veggie chilli sounds a good idea. How about lime sorbet or ice cream for pudding?
aaaah ceilidhs I miss them sooo much, such a good laugh. We did go to a barn dance down here a while ago and it was ok, they even did an Orcadian Strip the Willow which was quite brave for a barn dance, but most people didnt have a clue which yes is half the fun but lets face it, you do need a certain percentage who know what they are doing, even with a good caller. But it was fun anyway. Oh and we did that basket dance thing where the guys whizz round and the ladies lift off the floor. very funny. Well done avoiding the stuff yourself silly buffet :T

anyway crisis averted for tomorrow night, the guy who was coming is going to someone elses house for dinner, which is fine by me. Lime sorbet sounds lush though, might try that sometime anyway. Oh and DH was meant to picking him up at the airpot tomorrow am, would have neede to leave at 6am but someone else is getting him instead, so we will get up together at normal time with kids.

As for today, had great plans to be good all day til DH suggested Pizza Hut for lunch:mad: and I have no ability to say no. But I did have salad and a small thin cust half cheese pizza. And no pudding just a coffee. Having souther fried quorn burger hash brown peas and sweetcorn for tea. So not all bad I guess.

Tomorrow no plans that I can think of might look up the recipe books and try and plan some meals for the week. I bought a new WW one this week so maybe some out of that. Might even ask nicely for a pass to go out to the gym for a couple of hours to work one slice of the pizza :rotfl:
Hope you had a good day veging out. Your plans for tomorrow ????

Serena - so glad your mum is settled and how great things are better for you too, such a hard time for you and although her health is what is, its lovely thats she in a nice place and being looked after

Michelle - I'd have rung my DH too, its hard having a poorly LO. When DS had his sickness bug we both sat from 6pm till 11pm cleaning him and everywhere up, looking after him, we were both shattered, I slept in his room 11 till 4 then DH 4 till 7 and it was hard both looking after him and I'm not pregnant, you need help, good for you ringing him.

Right DH programme finished so Spooks for an hour.

Now, dilemma time. I have a huge box full of wooden toys, bricks, puzzles etc. It's all 'Physio' stuff but DS2 has outgrown it. So, do I put it on Ebay using free listing or do I donate it to the OT and Physio dept?

Half and half ? def give some of it to Physio. Karma etc etc

    Evening all.
Michelle - if little one is still poorly, temp, not keeping down anything ring medicom, not panicking you at all, but after all it is what they are there for. It may put your mind at rest as well.

AandWsmum - changed my yellow knickers!! Got some daffs instead, not of my knickers obviously! thinking of you.

I'm now going to look on amazon for shopaholic and baby as you all say they are good. Nearly finished my book at the moment so need some more.

I have just placed my MrT shop!!! woohoo! Couldn't face doing big shop instore, went in on way home today and bought 'jar sauce'!!!! It was easier and my shop is coming tom so can replenish all cupboards and fridge.

It's the dreaded kids room for me tomorrow - told them sort some out for ebay and they can have the money. If nothing sorted for ebay/carboot/throwing I am black bagging the lot!!!! You know I won't, but they don't!

    My list for tomorrow

    S&S Bathroom
    Plant seeds
    cook sunday roast - yummie
    sweep and mop kitchen/lounge floors

Hope I win the lottery tonight - dreammmmmmm
    Nite all.

vanilla - I think I would have gone mad. I bet you couldn't believe it when they told you. Fancy your mil not telling you and lying to you in front of them!

Evening flyladies. No flying today as Ive been to work. Its been a long 12 hours. It was one of the clients birthdays so we made sure she had a nice day. Im on holiday now though YAY!

Tomorrow Im meeting friends for lunch so will get some flying done later in the day. Some friends are coming over Wednesday evening so will have to get some serious flying done. All the clients have a cold and cough and Im sure Im getting it.

Pigpen Hope you all enjoy Crufts. Ive seen bits of it with eldest GS. He loves dogs.

Mudbath I was going to ask you if it was itchy yet but got beaten to it lol. I used to get frustrated with the plaster on my leg. Was difficult at first as I was on my own at home at the time. But DD set things up so I could manage to a certain extent.

Vanilla You must have got such a fright when the kids told you what they did. I remember my daughter going walkabout when she was about 4 but didnt get far.

Serena The home your mum is in sounds lovely. It was a nice gesture to give her roses and a card. When mum was 90 last August the home put on a beautiful buffet and she got flowers and chocolates and they provided champagne. They made all the family welcome. The other residents joined in and we had a great time.

Im going to make a cuppa and hunt for the cough medicine. Have a nice weekend everyone.

well not much of an update from me for the last few days. Seriously lost motivation, can't even remember Thursday, had a migraine Friday. Today we had a neighbour and her daugher that I met last week round to mee the kids as we asked the daughter who is 18 if she is up for some baby sitting. She is, and she's a lovely girl but when I asked her the going rate she said £6 an hour:eek:  This seems very high to me for a teenage girl. I mean it would be in the evening when they are all in bed.I know you can't put a price os the kids cafety etc but is she taking the p ?

Then we did Pizza Hut for lunch. DH's suggestion. Very nice and all but money we shouldnt have spent and calories I shouldnt have consumed:rotfl:Oh well. Then to B&Q to buy a cheap door for our new integrated dishwasher as the right one to match our kitchen is too expensive. At 3pm he said "it should only take on hour". He's still doing it and hasn't really stopped :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
