Ideas for card craft beginner

Super card shaz - love the colours and the contrast in paper. I'm never very good at getting that right.

birdie - Two aperture cards !!! Well, I did two but only because the first one didn't look right and the more I fiddled with it the more 'over the top' it looked so I did another one,similar style but a lot simpler. Took about half an hour where the first one must have taken at least two by the time I'd done..............lol
Like the idea of the Pizza boxes for storage............trouble is, I can really only allocate myself one drawer for my stuff and there just isn't any more space for it all (need bigger house !!!)

I'm quite surprised that I managed to make 2 aperture cards, but I was playing around one night with bits that I'd got from a craft fair and forgotten about and was hit with inspiration! I just hope that inspiration hits again soon as I have 2 male birthdays coming up in the next 2 weeks and have no idea what to do!

Birdie85 - i love the positioning of your aperture is it a ready bought one or did you cut it yourself i seem to think "centrally" and would never havethought of that


I too seem to favour simple cards don't know if thats taste or inexperience

Shaz, the cards were bought, I wouldn't have thought of cutting them like that myself!

You can't really see in the picture, but on the flower card the stem has writing on it. It says, 'Wishing you the happiest of birthdays'. I got the stem and the the flower with the message on from Craftworkcards.co.uk, they have lots of lovely original embellishments and card kits... I went to a papercraft fair in February and spent loads on their stall!
