I love both your cards Polly and rainmac - I have never been one for flowery decoupage (sorry!) as I'm not a girly girl but love these cute images!

I don't think you need to tell your dad that you 'cheated' rainmac :D - just let him appreciate that you put the effort in to make a homemade card rather than a standard shop bought one. ;)

Polly, I love the way yours was made in a circle - its like a porthole - really good, well done!

    polly1976 - great pirate card!!!

all - thank you for your nice messages, feel better about my card now. Looked at it again and I really like it now!

question - where do you all find the time to make your cards? If I were a bit more organised I think I could make more but I'm not as organised as I probably should be! My DS1 starts school in September so maybe I can grab a bit more 'me time' then...?

    Thanks again!!!

rainmac - well I don't go out to work and as for housework - well, if I'm having visitors then maybe the hoover will be dragged out of the cupboard...............lol
Seriously, I do have back problems which limits me to what I can do......sitting and making cards is one thing I enjoy doing..........mind you I don't do half as many as some. I only do them for family and friends plus birthday group I belong to.

rainmac, I love the card, I always get stuck when it comes to making men's cards, (I find them quite boring), and a lot of the stuff available for men is quite old fashioned. I've noticed that toppers sell quite well on ebay, and yours looks great.

polly 1976, love the pirate card too.

I really must get a printer, there would be loads more I could do, I recently ordered a load of inserts for my cards, whereas if I had a printer I could just do them myself! I live in Liverpool so I am constantly being asked for LFC cards and without a printer I am quite limited with what I can make. I think every male in my family has received the same card from me!

I think I will give up posting pictures on here after the last attempt, but I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to post a link to my pictures on photobucket so that I could post some more! Thanks in advance!
  • I agree. I think a coloured printer is great because you can print decopage sheets, and also verses and things to go onto the cards.

Nooooooo, please don't give up posting pictures, we love seeing them! We don't even mind if they are big as long as we can see them! If you want to make them smaller in photobucket, select the picture you want, then select 'edit.' Dont go into the resize part, go into the new 'edit' area. Then press full screen. After that, press resize and select the forth down I think it is. (640 x 480) Press 'apply' and 'save' at the bottom. That should make it smaller. After that, look for the menu on the bottom right. Select and copy the box under IMG Code - Forums and bulletin boards' Come into here and put it into your post. You can preview your post before sending to check the photo and then 'submit reply.' Sorry thats a long explanation and I hope you could follow it but we wouldn't want you to give up posting your photos. HTH.
