Home and Bargain St helens have loads of heat guns for £1.99

I got one, says on it

    Electronic heating system
    Automatic trigger action
for long glue sticks (there are 2 in)
    non-slip pad on grip
ideal for construction decorations or ceramics

I think what you are describing is a glue gun, not a heat gun for heat embossing. A heat gun for embossing is a bit like a hot hairdryer, hot air comes out to heat up the embossing powder and sets it hard. But unlike a hairdryer it doesn't blow, so your powder doesn't get blown all over the room:D

Lovely card birdie........lovely to see so many different styles coming up.

Craftygranny -welcome to the thread.................do join in............the more the merrier.

polly -glad my card got to you ok and glad you like it.

Been making a card this morning for my mums friends 70th birthday next week. She doesn't want to make a big thing about the 'age' so I've not mentioned it at all. Also did one on behalf of my Mum (she used to do card making at the care home but isn't able to anymore and I know she'd have done one if she could.
Having a clear out and yesterday managed to condense contents of two drawers into one............so now all my craft stuff is in one drawer............(well at the minute its all over the kitchen table...........lol) Nice to have it all in one place and a lot easier to find stuff ................I think ??

Mary- Good luck keeping your stash in one drawer! I started off with one little box, now I have 4 boxes and a 3 drawer storage unit full of stuff! And I can't stop buying more, not very MSE! My BF and I are going to get a house together soon and we've already decided that we need a spare room so I can use it as my craft room!

Well I'll have to give it a good try..............I started off with a small box and a folder for paper then it expanded to a box file plus other boxes........I got so confused as to what was in which one..........paper everywhere. I try and go through it every now and then and get rid of the bits I know I won't use again or oddments I've bought in a pack of offcuts from the craft shop that just aren't 'me'..............used to send them to mums care home for their card making activity but not sure they do it anymore.
I'm going to have a bit of sort through again and put all my bits for christmas cards in a separate box altogether..............(she says being the most disorganised person on the planet...................lol)

Have fun embossing Polly! Remember to hold the tool a fair distance from the paper so you don't scorch it (and keep your fingers out of the way! ).
