Hi Birdie, I saw some embellishments too in a card making mag.................but also they used their stamps on it, and then coloured it with ink, and then did a negative version too. Quite clever and a very cheap way of making embellishments for cards ;)

Oooh, that's a good idea, thank you! I'll have to try that this weekend (if I can find a good stamp that would work on it! I may have to buy more...shame! ;) )

Mary, stamping really is easy once you get the knack! 2 of the best tips I've been given are to do it standing up so you're not pushing down at an angle when you stamp and to hold the stamp with the pattern facing up and gently pressing the inkpad onto it rather than pressing the stamp into the inkpad, means that the edges don't get covered and make a mess of your paper!

I always stamp onto a spare piece of card then cut it out and stick onto the card blank I'm working on. It means that I don't have to worry about ruining my card blanks if I make a mistake and it makes it look more professional IMO, I like the layered look!:o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Thanks for the stamping tips birdie - I like the layered look.

Seen an idea for a concertina card in a magazine........think I might see if I can turn my 'gate card' into something like that. Anyone ever done a concertina card ? The one in the magazine was several sections but I think if I use my cards and just have three sections it should be ok.
