Just the cream card with the hearts on took 2 hours each! I made 75 of them. But I really enjoyed making them-My fingers were bleeding from stabbing them with the needle all the time. (lol)The square with the vellum and heart were easy but the scroll inside was really fiddly.
OH says he is impressed but I don't think he has the guts to criticise as he knows how long I have taken on them. :o
This is our wedding present to her/them.....See Money saving :D
Just hope she is happy with them.
This is the trial one I wrote to us to see if the space I had left to write on was big enough.
I feel lost now I have finished them -how on earth am I going to fill my evenings.
    Regards

Don't panic Mary - I haven't started mine yet either! ;) Not sure what I'm doing yet (I'm procrastinating as usual  ) but I bought my copy of docrafts Creativity! magazine for £1 today and they've got some lovely wedding card ideas with a free pack of pearlescent wedding themed stickers.

I've just found out this week that my brother-in-law is getting married in Thailand in December and we're (our family of 4) all going to it!

Im hoping to do my card tonight when the kids are in bed and hubby is at samba practice.

sparkleworld I'm amazed you made 75 of that complicated card! I made a caracature card of my husband & I for our evening reception invite - but had them professionally printed!
I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful

Lovely wedding invitation Sparkleworld, so much work went into that. Would the scroll not get squashed inside the card? All that embroidery, I have tried that but don't have the patience to do all the little holes first and then embroider, well done you!!! It looks super, you should be proud.

I love this thread, it is so good to see other peoples talents, keep them coming..

Thank You for your kind comments Polly :o
These are the first ones I have ever done- have only made a few "special" cards but did make hampers for Christmas presents and that's when she asked me to make them.
My brief was- I'll leave it up to you to design as I have no idea...
I used a brass stencil with loads of different elements on it and chose the one I liked and just kept repositioning it until I came up with a design I liked, then pricked the holes through the stencil, used gold embroidery thread to sew every 4th hole. I could have done just a plain running stitch but it didn't give the same effect. That's it really. I think the template was Petra somebody from C&C.

    Thank You mumof two :o
I wrapped the scroll around a cocktail stick and glued it with pva glue with some broken neclace beads on the ends so this (sort of) protects it. I just tucked the bottom under and glued that too. The sample has been in and out of the envelope quite a bit whilst I was making them so I'm hoping they'll stand up to a bit of abuse.

I just keep looking at it and having to walk away as I keep wanting add more! I am such a pizza girl! ( If it's in the box it goes on. :rotfl: )

Thank You all for looking and have a lovely weekend crafting. I am going to do an 18th birthday card for my neice as I couldn't find a nice enough one in the shop......OOOh that and the Grand National I'm going to have a FAB weekend!
    Regards
