Love your Halloween card rainmac - sometimes simple is best!
Glad everyone is liking the stuff the One Stop design team are coming up with - feels weird to see my cards up among them!
Just back from a week in Amsterdam. Picked up a few Dutch magazines (I speak very little dutch, so the language is a struggle, but I'll get by), plus I found the famous stamp shop, and even found a great craft shop. Plus, in order to pass the 5hr train journey each way (which was much less stressful than flying), I've now taken us cross stitch!
I love stitching Maggie, would love to see any of your stitched creations:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I'm half way through a cute little pixie/imp thing, so when he's done I'll stick a picture up here.In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -
Thanks for the welcome guys... Saint_Chris - i think if i had my crafting stuff spread out like that my OH would go bananas!!! i like your cards though, especially the blue holographic snow one. very eye catching.
Worked on a card this morning.. I'd gotten chatting to the owner of a crafting shop and he'd shown me these incredibly beautiful pieces of parchment craft, and of course, i was itching to have a go. Its not very good (that's not me putting myself down: its great, for a firsttimer, but compared to the works of art i've seen.... its like a child's drawing next to a Monet!) but i'm happy with it, and thought i'd share here...
there's links to some closeup photos of this card and examples of the really gorgeous stuff, and tutorials on this subject on my blog here if anyone wants to know how to do it... its not easy though!0 -
Kethry - that's a great card! I love the colours together. I had a quick go at parchment craft once, but I never really tried again. I've seen a lot of finished samples on the create and craft channel and some of the finished cards are gorgeous, it looks really time consuming though.
MaggieBob - congrats on your first card for onestop, it was lovely.
I am right aren't I - its my turn to set the challenge? I was going to do an exploding box card one, and I was trying to make one myself to show everyone, but everything went wrong, so I think I'll save that one 'til next time. Instead how about animals? I know its not very exciting but I don't think we've had an animal challenge before, (I might be wrong though).
I have let the side down and haven't been making many cards. Instead I've made a start on my Mum's scrapbook that's to be her present for xmas. I've done 3 pages so far, (I know that doesn't sound much). I wasn't going to fill it completely, I thought I could do her extra pages later and give her them for her birthday. Does that sound really mean?0 -
Lovely parchment card - wouldn't know where to start with that.......I tend to stick to the usual run of the mill things and really ought to have a go at being more adventurous. Maybe next year ???Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
