Wow fantastic cards everyone, and Melissa your scrapbook pages are so lovely!
I sat up and started to make a mini scrapbook last night, got most of the pages done just need to finish it off today which I will hopefully start in a few mins. Still need to start on my pages for OH's 12x12 book. The printer is now up and running which is great! ... Can't find the link to Savapennys photohosting though
Hopefully I will be able to start the cards again soon ... got a little girl one to make before the weekend.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Thanks for all your kind comments about my pages, I did another one last night but I'm not sure whether I like it or not. My Mum's scrapbook holds 10 sleeves, so it can hold 20 pages. I was going to just do 10 pages for xmas and then maybe do another 10 for her birthday, does that sound stingy??? I completely forgot that I made some disney cards last week so I might post some pics later.
Ikkle87 - great cards, wow - that was fast! Love the xmas tree too.
Saint_Chris - fab xmas cards, my favourite is the purple bauble one too, it looks so classy.
Rainmac, it takes me a while to do a page but that's because I keep changing my mind. You can easily get one done in under an hour if you don't faff about like I do. I was very naughty and ordered a few bits from America a while ago and bought a K and Co bailey scrapbook album kit that came with the album, 10 sheets and a few stickers, so that's what I have mainly been using for my Mum.
Faff, I have a real problem with storing little bits and bobs. I have a load of paper flowers in a cotton bud box, and I am always knocking it over and picking the bits up, it drives me crazy.
RustyFlange - I can't wait to see pics of your mini scrapbook.0 -

Hi Melissa, not stingy at all. I did so many pages of OH's scrapbook for fathers day and I plan to do another 3 possibly 4 (one is a double page spread) for christmas and then will try and do some more for his birthday. I think its a better idea as children grow up so fast and especially in my case they change so much.
Gave up with the mini scrapbook as I couldn't get it to do what I wanted so have put it to one side for a few hours. I did however start a page for OH's and just wondered where I was going wrong. I don't think it looks rightI know some people say that whether you have a busy or not so busy page is down to personal preference, I prefer busy as I tried both and the not so busy just looked plain daft with what I wanted. Anyway here is the latest one.
Any help would be grateful.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
I'm glad you agree with me RustyFlange, I thought if I added to it later I could put more recent photos in. I might try and get a page done today and have another look at the one I did last night.
I love your page, the embellishments are fab. Are they from the set you got from ebay? I love the leaves that you stuck at the bottom of your daughter's picture, (your daughter is so cute!). I think my pages are a bit sparse, but I think it depends on who they are for. My Mum is quite old fashioned and likes stuff like Laura Ashley and Cath Kidson so I'm hoping she will like them.0 -

Thanks Melissa, nice to have feedback from people who do such fantastic things.
The embellishments are the K&Co ones I got from ebay, all apart from the corner with the scarecrow, they are Jolee ones? all from 1 pack but I had to have a scarecrow. lol (my daughter is a little madam at the moment not cute lol)I think your pages work really well they look great! I am sure she will love them! I am hoping OH will love these next few pages I plan to do ... when he looked through his scrapbook on fathers day he cried ... (ok I didn't tell you that as he is a big butch bloke)Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
RustyFlange - I had never thought of giving the OH some scrapbook pages. I think its a lovely idea, I've got some great pics of him and the kids. I have shown him the pages for my Mum and I think he liked them, he doesn't tend to get that excited about my craft stuff, just moans about the mess. I LOVE K and Co. (Rainmac does too), I went through a stage of getting loads of her mini book kits from ebay that I haven't even touched yet! I think I'm going to treat myself at xmas to loads of their stuff, rather than leaving it up to the OH to get me something.0

Melissa I was the same ... OH is a big burly bloke ... the kind no one messes withloves blokey stuff and I managed to bring a tear to his eye last year for fathers day by buying a Tshirt for the children (matching ones) which said my daddy is no1 that brought a tear to his eye but having stumbled across this board I wanted to have a go at scrapbooking at that gave me the perfect excuse to try and do something. I wasn;t sure if he would like it or not but he said it brought back loads of little things which you forget with kids. (one of ours being our daughter poorly after she was born both of her eyes bled) and although it sounds awful to be reminded of it we also remember the day when they started clearing up after almost 6 weeks and just how bad her eyes were etc. I know Rainmac loves her stuff, I like some of the stuff but some of the other bits of hers I am not a fan of strange cause sometimes I suprise myself on what I actually like even though its not the kind of thing I would normally go for!
Anyway I am about to start another page for OH's scrapbookHalloween this time I think

RustyFlange - your OH must really appreciate the pages, were you shocked that he cried? I like most of the K and co stuff, like you there are a few ranges that I am not so keen on. Can't wait to see your halloween page!
Saveapenny - thanks for the link and updated images, you are a star.
This is my latest page, I changed it a bit this morning. Is it still too green though?0
