I did think of adding the odd picture of him - like last christmas, then when he went to see his uncle, playing on the swings etc. but my son has so many photos of him I thought I'd put things like bits about when we had the earthquake here earlier this year, our cats, the garden............things he wouldn't have seen - so it builds up over the years like a little diary of family stuff if you know what I mean.

Mind you, haven'y got a scrapbook yet...............got one from the charity shop but not sure it's nice enough.

For anyone saying: I can't join in the challenge because I don't have brads:
The challenge is brads or buttons

Just use any old button, shirts come with spare ones, just liven it up with a piece of string, wool, ribbon and hey presto! A few small ones in a row look great on a card, or in the middle of a flower.

Ofcourse if you don't want to do the challenge that is ok too, just be creative with what you have. Anyone can join in and post a picture of their work.

Might have one I've already done -not sure without looking but polly normally puts them on for me - will she be around this week or is that when she's on holiday ?
Plus have to see what happens with MIL.............phone call this morning and BIL said shes quite poorly -not sounding very good -still, you never know.

bunbun - that was the idea with baby grandson - bit of a keepsake for him to refer to when he's older. We live a distance away so don't see him often hence lots of stuff happens that he wouldn't be aware of anyway.

mumoftwo i will hang my head in shame and try the challenge this week:rotfl:

mary when they get older children often want to know about things that happened when they were younger i know my two do. My ds1 was 10 this year I should have done one for the first ten years of his life - maybe for Christmas:rotfl: hope your MIL is feeling better soon.

  • Right ladies I am after a bit of advice. Finally got a printer and its up and running - hurrah. Trouble is I've just printed off a couple of images to make cards with and the picture quality is bad. I got the images from google, but I think the trouble is they are only small images and when they are enlarged the quality isn't good. I am using plain thin card - does it look better on photograph paper???
  • Hi all i know its late but i had a horrile week last week any way here it is now my card for krystaltips i hope she likes it and hope you all do too xxxx
