Hmmm Was actually my idea, she bought a little cardigan for my daughter when she was born last year so I kind of felt obliged to ... besides I have stuck my details in there (she won't know it is me) and so she may well order for other people meaning she gives me money :D

Thanks so much for helping me I feel really stupid asking so many questions earlier but I'm not very imaginative and when the box of card craft things came I thought - yeah fabulous -and then... what the heck do I do with it.

But today I thought I would start experimenting and I bought a card craft magazine and wached a card crafting channel on Sky which gives lots of demonstrations and I am now feeling much more confident. Thank you so much for not treating me as I'm a bit thick.

    Best wishes

Almar - everyone starts somewhere. I first started card making after watching QVC. I got a kit from the Argos and even though I enjoyed making my first few cards they were awful! There are so many techniques now and products that you can buy that it can get confusing.
Well, OH has gone out, so I have managed to make 6 wedding cards, I will try to sell some of them and the others can go in my xmas card boxes. I will upload the pics tomorrow. Felt great getting all my stuff out and spreading it all over the kitchen table. I'm going to attempt an ATC I think, trouble is I can't decide what to use on it!

You are absolutely not thick! I am not imaginative or artisitc but love making cards and some of what I make are really quite nice :p

I'm sure you'll really enjoy it, it's very satisfying to make things yourself. Let us know how you get on won't you :D

Well, I have done 2 ATC's. Totally new concept to me but loving the idea behind it. I have read up on them a bit on Docrafts and there is quite a community. People make series and number them!

Anyway here are my attempts. One is just a simple "love" one and the second one I made into a little shaker card. Welcome Almar, looking forward to seeing your cards

Fantastic ATCs mumoftwo. My favourite is the shaker one - the check paper is lovely. Well I made an ATC last night, I found it quite difficult as you are working on a smaller area. Had a disaster though, while I was taking a few pictures of it I balanced it above the sink for a bit of better light and guess what - it fell in the sink and of course there was water in it. It is currently drying out on top of the tv.
Artymiss are doing another bargain this weekend. Its a mystery box - you can either get a card making one, a scrapbooking one or a general craft one. Each one is £25 but contains products worth £125, there is a longer thread on the grabbit board. I am very tempted to get the scrapbooking one, its supposed to contain albums!! Have you bought one yet Rainmac???????

I still don't get the concept of these ATC thingys ... but I put that down to the fact I have only just started making cards. I think I might make a couple more tonight. I am in need of inspiration for a mans card. Needs to be done by tomorrow. It's my OH's best friend whom he has known for years and also used to own a drum shop ... any suggestions or pictures of cards you have made? please help I am struggling with this one!
