Ideas for card craft beginner

qwiksave - what a lovely card..........clever you making your own paper.I've read about that but it seems to complicated for me..........love the wool effect as well.:T


Don't think I'll be able to fit in a card for this week or next-thought I might have one that would do I'd already made but nothing in those colours .......going to be busy sorting out things for family visit, dental appointment I've now realised will be two instead of one:eek:
I'll be about on line having a look until the weekend though:j

About next weeks challenge - it's a shame you don't think you're able to do it but I think you may have made a mistake - I got the impression that the challenge was to make a card using two colours - ANY two colours you like. I think that the ones Polly gave us were examples, not the colours you have to use... (am I right Polly?)

Maybe you HAVE got a card that was just made using two colours after all?

Next weeks challenge is Either a card made with two colours ie black and white but can be any two colours you want Butif any of you would like to make a fathers day card you can do that instead is that ok????

Is making your own paper difficult? Never looked into it but love the effect on your card .

Hi, I actually made my paper at an art group I went to at our local community centre a couple of years ago. They had a blender and deckle etc - and a good art room to make a mess!

I did look up papermaking on the internet so you can see how to make it. It is quite time consuming but you can end up with something unique to you.

This is one page I found: http://gort.ucsd.edu/preseduc/papermak.htm and there are probably loads more.

I expect there are papermaking kits to be found on ebay too.

rainmac - dentist !!!! Could be a big job.......not sure till I get there. A chunk's fell off my capped tooth right at the front.....happened before christmas and dentist managed to fill it.............fillings come out and it has been suggested that front tooth comes out and gets put on to my denture ! Denture wouldn't be ready till Wednesday so I'd have nearly two days looking like a witch:eek: thats without the vast expense (three figures I think:eek: )
Or........if hes clever and kind, he'll just fill it again.......less hassle, less cost.............:j
