Lovely card 1982girl! Your mum will love it, even more so as you made it! Where did you get the little butterflies? Have you bent the wings forwards so they look like they are flying? Very pretty, look forward to seeing more of your cards! :D
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

The butterflies wings do bend - they were part of the lets make cards magazine - the issue was £7.99 but had loads of free goodies. Thanks for your kind comments have really got the card making bug!

1982girl -briliant card, thanks for showing us. Love the butterflies.

shaz - good list of suggestions for challenges but oh dear.........

Angel hair(???? got a big bag ) - not got any and what do you do with it ?

origami - eeek !! How do you do that ??

fathers day - sorry, no dad or FIL and would find that hard to do

quilling - another eek  not a clue where to start

Still the idea is for it to be a 'challenge' and it would certainly be that.........................:rotfl:

Thanks for letting us know pap and hello to the newbies from me too...

Loving the new cards that have come on too - I will be doing mine tonight when DH is at samba again.

While I'm on, I bought some card making magazines from a charity shop recently - the oldest was from 2003!! Anyway, there was a letter about moneysaving craft ideas in one which I thought I'd share with you (hope the owner of the original letter, Katie Perry, doesn't mind! :D - hello, if you are reading this! ;) ). We've had the discussion before about wanting to save money while craftmaking (but most of us aren't that good! :rotfl: ) so in the true spirit of mse, heres a few:

Use eyeshadow instead of chalks for colouring - you can get palettes of colours very cheaply in some discount chemists (apparently) - or use up your own if they are getting old..

For a lightbox you can use a battery operated light in a deep glass casserole dish (preferably without the makers name on the bottom because you turn it upside down)....

Use body art jewellery for embellishments for your cards - they come in lots of different shapes, swirls, hearts, stars, etc. Also body transfers come in interesting designs...

Another tip, not moneysaving but useful to know, Dawn Bibby says, "When you buy a new rubber stamp, always lay a few strips of sticky tape over the rubber design. Peel off to remove the silicone coating (repeat a few times) this will give you a much clearer printed impression as your ink will adhere easily to the stamp."

    Hope these help someone...

Hello, Me again! :D Managed to do one card last night for my son's birthday today!! I'll count is as my 'freestyle' card from last week. (onvve! naughty!)
It's a decoupage card based on the brand new film that all the little boys are/will be raving about soon... He's going with his dad and brother to see it at the cinema later today so it seemed appropriate.

I just decoupaged the main car, image found on internet (complete), printed out twice, stuck the white car on card and used sticky pads to decoupage it, (see 2nd pic) then matted and layered on shiny paper.

Will do tissue paper challenge card tonight, hopefully! ;)
