Spent a lot this weekend on "stuff"
got a hobby box to store stuff in as i cant see what i have got in the big cardboard box i have all my stuff in £2.99 homebargains
Ordered some decoupage from liz crafts about a Fiver inc postage
3 packs male peel offs at local boot fair a quid
3 packs of white a5 cards at home bargains for 59p each
Made a few cards this week made a great dinasour card using the wrapper my free sample of comfort came in and a dinasour 3d sticker(1 of 12) from poundland sorry its a bit wonky scanned rather than photographed
I know you did a recycled challenge early on ,can we do another?
I have also realised that i can use the computer to print phrases etc onto nice card/paper instead of buying phrases and stick ons
I want to make cards for very little money i love looking round the big hobby shops but haven't bought much there prefer to use my brain instead of credit card .............................is it just me do you spend a lot or a little

shaz - cant believe I just wrote a whole reply and the power went off..............lol
I don;t spend much on card making stuff to be honest.........budget won;t allow though I could run riot in the card shop given the chance !
Going down to see Mum on Tuesday (theres a poundland a wilko there) so might get a few bits and pieces if I have time.
I buy a pack of offcuts from the card making class every so often (£1.89) and there's normally 3 blank cards and a whole load of different colour and patterned offcuts I can use. I print a lot off the internet as well. I've bought peel offs for trimming and the Happy Birthday and some Happy Christmas but last year I printed off a whole load of happy christmas, just typed in on Word, printed it off in dark red or green and stuck it on some pretty little bits of card.
I'd be more than happy to have another go with the re-cycled card........makes you use the imagination a but more I think........well does for me.
Love the card by the way............Mary

Hi Mary
I think thats a great way to save money and looks proffesional too (my freehand not good!) i have found the leather look card 20p sheet here looks great and if you fill the sheet with lots of phrases you can use for lots projects
Yesterday i did a red sheet with lots of football pictures and phrases its dads birthday and BIL birthday and fathers day too , they are boro and liverpool supporters looks really effective i definitely favour simple cards and this works for me i wish i could find football club logos somewhere this would be brill any ideas
Loving the canon page someone recommended(thanks) i have loads of good quality paper from a company i used to work for (headed) i just print on the reverse
Anyone know whether making card blanks is cheaper than buying packs?

I spend too much!!! I go for ages not buying anything, then I'll have a period of about two weeks when I just splurge. It was my birthday recently so I treated myself to a few bits. Personally I find that buying card blanks is much more expensive than making your own. I never buy them and I get packs of white envelopes from Home Bargains for about 60p for 30 I think.0

Hi Shaz,
you can get some great football club logo's on goggle images . I've used the liverpool ones but didn't keep pics of the cards. just saved them in to word and printed or sometimes just printedif they were the right size .
I find it cheaper to make card blanks but i did buy a card scoring board to help. Was only about a fiver on e bay though. Envelopes are quite cheap on e bay or there is a place in sheffield that does them cheap. they do mail order too i'll check my favourites later and see if i can find the addy
hope this helps regards trisha

melissa ~ really like that card. I can never do vintage cards, so love seeing them when they are done.
Shaz ~ cute card, love the dinoRegarding how much you spend, I spend about £40 a month on stamping up goodies and then £12 a month on a card subscription kit. I then spend about £5 on adesives every 2 months and not much else really. The problem I have is I have tons of shuff here (worth at least £700+) so i tend not to buy anything else unless its for a specific reason/card. Btw I tend to fold my own cards as then I can do any size/shape. I have boxes full of card blanks and envelopes here going spare if anyone needs any

I just buy whatever card is cheapest and cut it according to what size I want. Even bought a pack of card from the childrens section in woolworths..........lol I do buy some 'nicer' card from the card shop though if I've got a few pennies to spare.
shaz Whats this leather look card ? Sounds good -could do a lot of things with that.
I'm visiting my Mum tomorrow, coming back Wednesday night so won't be about till Thursday..................there's a Wilko's and Poundland.........oh eck..........I'm supposed to be visiting Mum not shopping !!!!
Mind you if she's in 'sleepyland' which she often is I can nip out then.........maybe ?Mary
