Rant over (well done quoia for your restraint).
The constant moralising is a little boring now though, we know some people don't agree with using them, we don't know if Tesco are in fact getting the money back on them, it would surely be a simple task to block the coupon once a month if they were that bothered.0 -

You have double standards. You think it's OK for Tesco to invalidly redeem coupons for products we don't buy, which means the manufacturer pays out the money rather than Tesco. However, you don't think it's OK for Tesco to pay out the money.
Using coupons for products you don't buy is already against the coupon's rules, so why the double standard? If Tesco choose to accept a coupon for a product you don't buy, that is their choice. I hope they don't choose to redeem them with the manufacturer, because that would definitely be immoral IMO.0 -

Who suggested supermarkets were in any way moral? The point is if we don't but the particular product someone else will so the store has sold the item and hence can claim the money back. Its big business, this is how it works i'm afraid. My tesco have told me they can't take the mail book voucher as they cannot redeem it, they are happy to take any that they can redeem.0 -
The Scottish Daily Record has a free Bob the Builder DVD - not sure whether it's actually in the bag or has a voucher to redeem. Also, apparently there will be other kids' DVD all week.0

Hi,
Is the Mariah Carey Perfume worth getting with the coupon? Just thought I would ask everyone before rushing off to buy the paper! Furthermore, is it a Superdrug coupon? Thanks0 -

Don't be having a go at coupon mad.
It's nothing to do with double standards. It's to do with Tesco getting fed up of people giving in coupons THEY CANNOT REDEEM which may make them rethink their coupon policy and then we'll ALL miss out as we'll be unable to give in any coupons.
They take manufacturers coupons for stuff we havent bought because it all evens out. ie I may give in a hugies vouchers and buy baked beans and persil. Someone else buys huggies and gives a persil coupon in.
But noone is buying the book, and the vouchers are not redeemable unless they've been used in a specific outlet.
This has been explained in detail countless times.I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0
