Anyway, my question is: What's more important to you when looking out for bargains? The points or the £££s?
Points or ££££s, when all else is equal? Spend your cash now and save points up on your card in lieu? Or buy less, have less points but more £££s in your pocket?

£££s, always. It's taken a while for it to sink in for me, but if I buy something that bumps up my ACM total, it still limits me to spending that money in Boots, whereas if I use vouchers to bring the actual sale price down, I can spend that money elsewhere. At the moment my acm total's comparatively quite low (£30-ish) but my storecupboard's full of Time Delay scrubs, botanics wipes, sanctuary stuff etc, so it has to be a really good glitch that doesn't require me shelling out too much to get me interested now. Still checking the grabbit thread every week just to be sure I'm not missing out though!
    2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j

    Hi Lilaclily,

I am here :D Just been wondering why it is so quiet here this morning!
Had my first Boots dream last night- dreamt there were vouchers for 700 points on S&G in the H&B mags but they were in the middle of the magazine instead of the back so everyone had thrown the mags away without seeing them
Do you think that is the first sign of an addiction lol :rotfl:
i had a boots dream last night hat boxes £2.50 i bought ten! and s+g sets £1.00 a box used all my points and was well chuffed then the alarm went off, back to reality
If it has tyres or testicles, it's gonna give ya problems..

I like Boots offers as much as the next woman but I'm also reluctant to spend actual ££££ folding cash on things that I don't really need or want. That's not to say I don't do it, but I do my best not to just buy an offer because it's a bargain! For instance, I've got a good handful of the S&G 200 points vouchers in my purse and know that 400 points back on a £5 item is a very good deal, but...I don't want to spend the £5 to get it. Especially as I'm not that fond of S&G, TBH.

Whereas yesterdays deal of spend £10 on a reduced Sanctuary set, get £20+ worth of products + GWP + £6 of Sanctuary vouchers had me digging in my purse for £20 for two sets, because I love Sanctuary.

Anyway, my question is: What's more important to you when looking out for bargains? The points or the £££s? For instance, do you prefer a £5 item with 400 free points, or a £5 item reduced to £1, whether with actual cash off or a voucher? Because it seems to me that there's currently less talk of the very good BOGOFs running (which is 50% off, after all, with usually a good choice of products) and more of buys like "Buy Item X for £Y, get Z-00 points back", where the points value is often less than 50% anyway.

Points or ££££s, when all else is equal? Spend your cash now and save points up on your card in lieu? Or buy less, have less points but more £££s in your pocket?

I am definitely in your camp on this one. I don't have a lot of money to spare, so don't tend to buy things just because they are cheap, I have to have a use for them to justify the spend.
Much prefer money off or voucher off to bring the price down, even BOGOF's I don't buy unless I need the items.
Not mean, just haven't got the money to spare. I seem to have accumulated a lot of points at the moment, so will only buy now if I can spend them, especially as I am not that interested in the 17 offer or the hair care spit.

Have thought about this all morning:D

I prefer money off a good bargain like bag I got yesterday saved me £10.

On the points front I see my AC like a bank/savings card (will try my best to explain). I used all the 250 points in No7 GWP. I mainly used these on men's no7 has I have 3 big birthdays this year. When I paid used £5 and 250 points Boots basically paying me. Would only do this if going to use products didn't get any Nivea don't use it. Will maybe do S&G 2 more times has I have 2 50p off coupons to use. Shame to waste em eh! With buildup of points I bought 3 S&G sets and one accessorise box. Now building em back up, I have over £120 which I will save now for sales or any other treats. I hate parting with my points though I find it hard:rotfl:

Atm nothing else is interesting have done the No17 for DD. Will just keep looking in clearance for the cheap stuff.

A quiet month for me I think o/h breathed a sigh of relief when I said this last night.
