i have been very careful with my money for the last few months and so if there is a good points offer on i will throw the cash at it, i very rarely take anything back, I got a load of cotton wool on that pukka points offer and have sold half of it at 1.00 a roll - same as what it cost me, people think its a bargain and i have gained loads of points, my OH was totally shocked to see the points accured so far this year i found an old reciept which shows that begginning of jan we only had 97pounds on our ad cards between us.
The nivea i use some of it and so have stocked my self up and i have sold a couple to friends for 3.50, Saving points at the moment for the summer/spring sale which ever is first lol and then plan to use them in next years 75% off. I hate spending the cash but i hate spending the points :rotfl:
I do buy the odd few things with points which i know i can sell for the same amount, that way it frees up a little cash for spending back in store lol
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D

Anyway, my question is: What's more important to you when looking out for bargains? The points or the £££s?

Points or ££££s, when all else is equal? Spend your cash now and save points up on your card in lieu? Or buy less, have less points but more £££s in your pocket?

Very good question valk_scot :) Morning btw - morning all :)

This is a flying visit so I'll answer it as quickly as possible lol.

I've accumulated an obscene amount of points - which I'll eventually reduce by buying bargains, or in the sales.

What I have to say is that when I work it out in my head (a while then lol), I'll try to do what some others posters do - and that's shop for one thing - with a high points value - to buy another thing that I really want ...iyswim?

The only poster I can think of offhand, is hogshead :) I noticed a post where she'd bought some S&G (I think) for the 400 points involved. BUT, she then used those points almost immediately (I think??) to purchase something else. Therefore she'd accumulated points, bought a product that might have cost £5 but with the points worked out at £1 - then went on to buy something with the 400 points.

I hope I've got that right, and apologies to hogshead if I haven't (really am in a rush), but that's how I'd prefer to shop from now on.

Really hope that makes sense to someone :D Bye for now x

That'll teach me for not reading the T&Cs! It says it expired Oct 07! i found it through google so that'll be why it's the same URL, I was trying to find a pic of the S&G (feel the knead) soap.

No haven't been out today. I'm skint now after all of my recent Bootsing and I'm trying really hard to resist some more Blue S&G stuff with the points offer.

Sounds like you found a lovely SA (although I've yet to find a not-so-lovely one). Why don't I have customers like you in my shop? :D
i wish we had customers like me in our shop as well:rotfl:

    Good question Valk_Scot :T

£££'s in my pocket for me .... I have really enjoyed my Boots spending of late, but have still been watchful of what I need/can afford etc. I have earned a good few points that I shall save up for Xmas I think, but for me it is all about getting good value for money ;)
