Unusual for me to go shopping on a Sunday but had to get some 'food' for ds to take back to Uni
I managed just two branches of Boots while on my way to Asda :j
1st shop
2 x Shock Waves Mousse @ £2.79 (BOGOF)
2 x Ms. Manicure @ 50p (Clearance)
1 x No. 7 Trinket Trio @ 50p Clearance
1 x Boots Black Manicure Kit @ 50p Clearance
1 x S & G Wash Almighty £5 got 400 points
This Boots, (Quadrant) had loads of Eye Jewels & Lip Gloss still at half price but none at £2 or £1.50; Hat Boxes still £9. No reduced Sanctuary or S & G.
Next stop (Morfa)
1 x Botanics Eye Make-up Remover @ £2.99
1 x Botanics Wipes Free
1 x Trevor Sorbie Shampoo @ £4.49 Less £2 till spill
1 x S & G Clean of England £5 got 400 points
Again plenty of Hatboxes @ £9; no reduced Sanctuary or S & G.
Thrilled with my little bits of clearance, I think these are the first that I have got, great for stocking fillers.
Just wanted to add I did have a quick look for Smiley Sets and the MF Black gwp - no luck, I would love one of those Smiley Sets for my Mum0 -
Morning passion, and the rest of you lovely ladies! [snipped - again

Hiya Jo(again) and all
Thanks for the explanation about the freeze sticks.I'm not sure what the SA did ...I doubt she knows either lol. But I suppose, to be fair, we might have handed the vouchers in willy-nilly
We popped back in today, and I thought it was going to be one of those days again  lol because I set the alarm off going in! But I've got to say that they were the friendliest and most helpful bunch of SA's I've ever met, and I saw one young male assistant do virtually what you described yesterday. He'd scanned a couple of things, told the customer that a third item would go through for free, and left the till to go and get one! I'd have kissed him if it hadn't have traumatised him :rotfl:
I'll definitely try KR again on a Saturday afternoon lol.
There was another of those heel inserts on clearance, some more Strepsils (which was good as I'd developed a sore throat between yesterday and today) and some of other odds and ends from the pharmacy.
There was a childrens educational game thing, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called - but it was £2.50 lol, from at least £10.
OH sorted out the problem about the missing points on the Heel Genius. The senior SA didn't have a clue what he was talking about, they even ended up at the ACM together! (which was when I walked away lol) but he got his 200 points. It's because he's used his quota of two, I guess, but we had to laugh as apart from the petrol money, the car park cost £1.70 :rotfl: but I suppose it's the principle and all that
After I read this post, and before I fell asleep exhausted, (does Bootsing have that effect on anyone else) I reminded oh about the 'lip glaze day' lol, and asked him what you looked like. He said: 'I don't know, but she had a pink GWP in her basket and some No7 stuff' ! .... I was rolling about laughing lol, and most people on this thread would too, if they knew what he did for a living
It's so far removed from Bootsing and toiletries it's unreal, but I had to laugh at what he remembered
Btw, if you weren't getting a toner, or cleanser, and a GWP, it probably *was* a store detectiveand if you still want him 'out on loan', it's 200 Boots points an hour
We popped in KW, (the JF 25ml serum didn't work again Dollardog), so I'm still wondering how it went through yesterday !?!
Either someone with a large bank balance had been in KW, or they'd had a rethink and taken this mega-bargain off the shelves, but no Dr Nick left at all, and not much of anything else either. Had to laugh at some little toddler who kept taking condoms to his Mum thoughKids huh? Lol.
zulubabe and pollsdollsI checked a local store because I remember seeing the Smiley Kit after geordie_lass had mentioned her purchase/bargain
They still had a set on display, and it was reduced, but even with 1/3 off it's still nearly £30  so I don't think you'll be clamouring over each other to buy it lol.
You got a real gem there geordie_lass - the original price was approximately £46! *gulp*As for your 'total spends offer' - £25 - £30?!? wow. I don't think many people hereabouts would use the ACM if they had to spend that much first
sally06my friend used to live in Luton and if their Boots is anything like their M&S, I can understand why you shop in London lol. I'm a bit gobsmacked at what the SA said to you too kitiaracat
Phew, off to catch up and see if there's anything else I've forgotten ......Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -
LOL!! Passion, I thnk it must have been a store detective!!! If I remember rightly, I don't think I bought anything that day because I couldn't find anything buy then I saw you and OH and knew it must have been a fellow MSE'er so I sort of started following you to see what you had in your basket lol (how embarassing telling you this!! I sound like your stalker!). I noticed you had a S&G shower thing in your basket and a few other things but couldnt get quite close enough without being too obvious but then I walked down the No7 aisle with the "sticky lip gloss" (LOL), and you were stodd right in front of me, you were bobbed down looking at the different colours. I really was dieing to speak to you but I would have gone scarlet if it wasn't you hahah! But I am sure I remember what you and OH look like now so I promise to speak to you if I see you again which I am sure I will!
You have to PM me what your OH does for a living - I am dieing to know now you have said that! lol.

Also managed to get Garnier nutritionist regenerating eye cream marked down to 2.12 in the clearance section - there must be a 2.00 discount off garnier Nutritionist products as took another 2.00 off so paid 12p.
This was in Horsham.

Thanks for that passion8, you are right in your thinking. I think geordie_lass's purchase was a one off.
I really do appreciate your eagle eyes though, and your good memory. I can never remember the price of anything that I did not buy, once I have arrived home. I would have to take a pen and paper with me to record them. But that is due to my 'great age'(Thats my excuse anyway)
It is a grat buy at £5, or even £10 but £46, I think not. You would need the 'euphoric properties' it contains after paying full price:rolleyes: ~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
