Hey, I just checked my online banking and i got £4.84 of interest (its my current account ) but it's totally not something i was expecting as i thought that the interest rate was so low and i have so little money in there (but i bet I get this amount onece a year lol) so i think I am going to count this but Im not sure, what does everyone else think?
  • Received a £20 gift-card yesterday from Asda for a bad experience in one of their restaurants so that'll count towards my £10/day.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

You could do - you could also use it as inspiration to switch current accounts and try and bag some bonuses along the way! ;)

Quidco still have the Alliance & Leicester Premier current account on for £50 (but you need to pay on at least £500 a month.) You can even get £100 for opening a new First Direct account (need to pay in minimum of £1500 per month.)

Phew! I still haven't caught up with the thread properly but just wanted to share an idea I got from reading someone else's post. It mentioned Littlewoods cashback which rang a bell. I used to have a Littlewoods catalogue and after digging out the paperwork I've discovered £11.00 in cashback. Will add it to my total once it's reached my account. Thanks guys.

Around 6 months ago I bought an 'office' type swivel chair with arms, on castors, in Asda, reduced from £40+ to £24.99. They are still selling them. It looked good but was really uncomfortable even with 3 cushions on it! I felt like throwing it out, but some friends suggested putting it into a weekly household auction - but its a 40 mile round trip and I thought it might not sell for enough to pay for the petrol to get it there. My friends offered to take it as they had stuff of their own to deliver. I cleaned it up to be as 'like new' as possible, but one of the cushions I used had a fleece cover and tiny bits of the fleece fluff had got a bit embedded in the stitched seams on the seat!

Anyway, I've just had a phone call to say thay my 'used' chair sold at the auction for £28!!! Mad!!!! There will be some fees to come off that and I won't get the final amount for a couple of weeks.....meanwhile, the chair can still be bought, brand new, in Asda for £24.99..........:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Love it when that happens! And yes, I've managed to catch up with the thread - I'm at the front!!!!!!
My OH always has fantastic luck when selling DVDs on ebay. He buys one cheaply in the usual high street stores, watches it, then sells it on for a small profit. I've known him to sell something for £14.99 that's still available in a shop for 9.99. Madness! Never happens to me though:confused:

    Well done asset.

the ebay issue is sorted - somehow the buyer had sent the payment to the wrong account (.com rather than.co.uk) I really dont know how this has happened as i have recieved other payments through ebay without any issues.

Ive checked my account and it all seems correct???

Anyways, i also managed to sell some more stuff on ebay but im just only going to make about £2 profit per item (a load of old teddies.) Ill work it out when i get home tonight based upon the payments that ive recieved and update the total.

Best thing is the flute is sorted after sitting in my cupboard for years and years and thats a whole £200 towards this month - its so not going to be this easy next month!!

Unless i sell hubby online, now there is a thought lol

couldnt wait until tonight - ive worked it out and ive made £195 profit on all of the ebay items. Just need to get them posted out now. Off to update my sig
