Just signed up to Archer fish - clicked on loads of ad worth 25p and won acompetition (that I think they say is worth 5p - big wow!) but total is just 31p - anyone know do they take a while to credit or have I wasted my time?

I think the paid-to-clicks and the click through emails credit more or less straight away, the ones where you're 'paid to sign up' can take a day or two. Make sure that you wait when you click through to each site for the 'your account has been credited' bit to come up a the top before you click on the next one or it won't register.

It's not the quickest way to make any money, I think I'd been signed up for about two months before I reached £3! I found I was already a member of a lot of the sites in the 'paid to sign up' bit, which was a shame as I could have made a few quid more from there. I think the only way to make any decent amount on there would be through referrals, but I haven't bothered with that as I don't know many people with the patience to sit and click all those things everyday :D Still, it's a little help to the total!

Oh and if it's the competition in the paid to click section it's worth 0.5p - even smaller wow :rotfl:

Asset you are amazing - im so rubbish at all of this - much prefer amazon - higher fees but its soooooooo much easier (she says)

Sorry though as its not 'my account' but 'seller account' and then you can 'view recent activity'.

I just sold a convex mirror tonight on Ebay for only £8.50 and just the final value fee is 64p, so with the listing fee plus the Paypal fees there's not much profit in it - I don't know how anyone can profit on the 99p items. I can also tell you about a delivery service cheaper than the Post Office and they collect from the house - I often book online at midnight and they collect the next morning at 10am - I can legitimately charge the post office rates of, say £10 and then use this company and pay only £5.99. So as not to 'break' the rules re referrals (don't think they pay anyway) if you want to know more please feel free to PM me....... it IS moneysaving!.....

I need some inspiration to do a few other things, what is Quidco like?

I already do loads of survey sites, free bingo and slice the pie but is there anything else?

Quidco can be ok, if you're not already signed up to lots of sites! It's great for getting insurance, I've made nearly £300 from 2 car and home insurance over the last year!

The only other thing I can suggest is writing reviews on Ciao and Dooyoo, if you're already signed up to Ciao surveys it's easy to get into the reviews, and you can write about anything, if you are good and write a good few reviews each month you can earn quite a bit. There is actually a review on Dooyoo on how to make £250 a month writing reviews on Dooyoo!! They have a set amount for each review you write (50p I think) plus you get extra for suggesting new products, writing the first review on a product, and I think you get points for ratings too (like Ciao)! Hope this makes sense!!:rotfl:

    Hi All

Well I have been a member here for some time, have not frequented boards for a while however after a financial review this weekend realised I need to :)

I am £9896.54 in debt and want to clear this asap. I have considered taking a part time job however I have a busy job already and like to keep my options open so this thread appealed :)

So far having started only yesterday morning using Bingo (not done GBP 1.00 games yet) and also Quidco. have managed to clock up £207.24. I am finding that scary :) Not even started on ebay £1 Bingo skill swaps etc etc :)

All seems good and am looking forward to becoming a stronger member of the community :)

Thanks all for your advice so far and heres hoping I can continue on such a roll :) Although I doubt I can match the £120 bingo wins to date hehe

    John x

PS. How do I get added to first post as a member?

Batgirl, just a quick suggestion is it possible to edit page 1 and show peoples success to date. I know its not a competition but just like slimming classes other peoples success can give inspiration to others :) x

Personally I would not like to see everyone's totals in a list, as it really isn't a competition. Also it would be a really major job to update that list and keep it updated as people's totals change so often. One person's £200 may have taken little effort whereas another person's £8.50 might be a major achievement! To put it all down in a list which can be easily compared would make it look like a competition. This thread is to me more valuable for each posting and the content of the posting - I rarely look at the totals, but just the WAY the totals are being achieved.

I guess I had not thought about the amount of work involved, and agree that yes it would be a big task. Not sure I agree with the competition thing, as I said it was meant as a gesture of inspiration.

I thought this was the reason why people put their details of what they have managed so far in their signatures ??

I lost 9stone at a slimming class over the last 18 mths but never thought each week when I went that I was in competition with any of the other people there. We were there to inspire each other and offer support. Weeks when I lost only 1lb and others lost 5lb gave us the inspiration to discuss with each other how we acheived that. I guess thats how these classes are so successful.

I do understand though that on occasions people became disheartened by the fact that others seemed to be doing better than them and as such yes it had a counter effect to certain individuals.
