Thanks everyone, have sent a contact form to both Ann Summers and Body Shop, will see what they say when they get in touch :)

Having a look at rehotknickers now, never heard of it. Wouldn't it be difficult to get parties for an unknown company?

I do Ann Summers (have done for three years) and it was the initial start-up fee that put me off Virgin Vie and the Body Shop. Having done it for three years now, I do fancy a change tho so maybe a switch-over is in sight....

Hi Dreamy, I've been doing it for three years now and although it has its ups and downs like any job, on the whole you can make good money from it; if you work on 250 sales, you get approx 50.00. So for being at someone's house for a couple of hours, your average hourly rate is over 20 quid-not bad really!

I normally work each Friday and Saturday and roughly 50.00 per party (can be more or less depending on your sales). Last night was a decent one and made 70.00 Got one tonight so hopefully and another decent one-fingers crossed!

One bit of advice is to get as many people to pay on the night with their orders; many a time you will get people placing orders and promising they will give the cash to the hostess for you to collect on delivery and it won't be there when you do the delivery. Its really frustrating for you and the hostess as you have ordered the items and then you have to send them back and the hostess thinks she has all this commission and because people have cancelled her commission goes down.

Each party is different and you will be nervous at your first one but the best thing to do is tell them that this is your first one and to be gentle with you! You will probably feel more relaxed and if you seem nervous to them it will explain it. The feeling of coming out at the end of the night with money in your pocket is fab!

    Good luck xx
