  • I went to one of your parties a couple of weeks ago. So do you find it is easy money?? As i'm only doing it to get myself a little extra pocket money.

Sorry Olivia, is that question for me? I wouldn't say 'easy' money... but it's a good earner and a flexible way of getting extra cash... plus lots of freebies and you can never have enough candles. There's more info on the party plan thread

So wanting to try and get advice from different people, to ensure that things go well. As i dont want to ruin peoples nights by making their parties boring....

I did this a while back but wasn't very good at it. I keep getting emails people looking for parties so if anyones doing this in South Yorkshire I can pass on your details.
  • Hi lydsmom, why do you say you were not very good at it??

Hey Olivia, I was worried about being a boring rep...but I have fun when I do a party and I think it shows through. Plus I really like the candles, so it all helps! You're supported by a team leader who gives lots of support too...I may be able to find someone local to you for you to get in touch with

    Hi,
Not sure if anyone will read this, as it hasnt been posted on for a while. But i am in the process of becoming an Ann Summers party organiser and was looking for advice on how to make a success of it. Tips to give you confiedence, etc. How to make it a good party, etc....

    Thanks

Hi! Really? Which party? Hope I was alright ;)
But yea it's pretty good money to be fair! You get what you put into it and the more effort the more reward you get. I've backed off a bit from it now, only doing 1-2 parties a week max ideally as before I was doing 2-3 and burning myself out but I have got 2 children at home, training to become a CAB advisor, saturday job AND a house to run as well as the ann summers so I haven't got enough hours in the day! lol
But generally I do find it's good money for the amount of hours involved. :)
Tips owuld be to make the parties fun and filthy and to keep your kit rotated so your regulars don't get bored. :)
Feel free to PM me if you've got any questions about anything. :)

  • I am interested in doing this...I thought, clearly mistakenly, that you'd have an initial outlay, I mean with the Body Shop you have to buy a kit first before you can start selling. And I am comfortable with talking about sex openly, and use the Ann Summers products myself, so think I'd be a good candidate. Only thing is though I don't drive yet...this money would be saved towards driving lessons, ironically!
