I am interested in doing this...I thought, clearly mistakenly, that you'd have an initial outlay, I mean with the Body Shop you have to buy a kit first before you can start selling. And I am comfortable with talking about sex openly, and use the Ann Summers products myself, so think I'd be a good candidate. Only thing is though I don't drive yet...this money would be saved towards driving lessons, ironically!
Quite a few people in my team don't drive. They either walk, get lifts from friend or use taxis/buses and do extra bingo/raffles to make up the extra money so it doesn't cost them anything. :). The AS kit has no outlay but your account is charged £3.50 a week for rental, but that's taken out of any sales you make. :)
    Where abouts are you?

  • I am in Liverpool. I am only thinking about it at this stage as I do not know anyone up here as I only moved here a few weeks ago.

No worries. Well you're not on your own with it. If you join you become part of a team and everyone supports each other. :)

I'm an Ann Summers rep too-been doing it for nearly three years now. Did think about giving it up a while back as I seemed to have a lot of c*** parties with very little comission and travelling a fair bit. Changed my mind again (I think!) think I will stick to doing them as for exapmple, I did a party on Sat night-travelled nearly an hour there and back but my commission was 130.00! Not bad for being out of the house for four hours! Its the longest I have ever travelled for a party but I'm glad it was worth my while! Feel free to ask any questions!

  • Hi all,
I started Ann Summes in Feb 2008 and absolutly LOVE IT!!!
Its such a laugh and i earn good money from it.
you pay kit rental at 3.50 a week for 30ish weeks or until u make sales of £1200...just found out at my meeting on Monday that ive made £1212 sales and have stopped paying rental!
Theres plenty of support from your unit manager and the ordering system and website is very easy to use.

I started because the job i was in wasnt very good money so thought it would be a good way to earn a bit more, ive recently got a better paid job and but refuse to leave ann summers coz i enjoy it so so much.
Id say its worth a go if ur confident speaking about what we sell and if ur flexible enought to do the parties, it can be a little slow to tkae off but worth it in the end.

when i started i had about a party a month and now im booked up every saturday until july!!

    any questions just ask

  • Hi Mini_money_saver,

i have just started doing Ann Summers parties, have done two so far. But i am still a little nervous about it all. What games would you suggest to play?? And how do you make the night interesting when you dont have much on your rail?? I have ordered a few things out of the new catalouge, but i still dont have much.

As on the two parties i have done, i have only made a little over £30 at each. And that money has been spent on buying other things!!! So no profit so far!!!

    Thanks

If there are any Ann Summers people from Liverpool on here, would you be interested in letting me come along to one of your events to see how it's done? Or even in joint-hosting parties?

I have got the number of the area manager; do you get training and ideas how to approach people to start out? I am lucky as I know a lot of Ann Summers stuff anyway...any help would be really gratefully received...
