  • Just checking in. I went out for milk yesterday and spent £6.06 :eek:, mostly on rubbish! More focused today, got my fiver haircut and it turned out very well and just walked by the shops:j. NSD today!!!

    Im sat here with a freshly baked barmcake :) and its stil hot and butter melted there gorge! thanks MRSM. May i also ask how old you are? Was thinking about it when i was baking and id say you was about 30 from how it comes across to me :) ya know when u get a iea of what someone looks like etc, age etc.

    Mumzy- could you post the recipe for that banana cake, please. i have some manky ones i could do with using up.

    how is everyone today? ended up in mr t's befor and ended up spending about £10 :mad: i will dig the receipt out later and up date my sig.

    shell all i did was make a basic cake mixture, 8oz flour, 4oz sugar, 4oz butter and 2 eggs... mixed that all in then mashed or whisked 3 bananas and place in a 9inch tin on grease proof paper..bung it in oven lol i added some choc sprinkles to my cake mixture coz kids like them in.

    MrsMcawber wished I live near you your food always sound so good just wanted to add now I have updated total spent quite a large amount but my fridge, freezer and larder are all well stocked so should be able to manage the month

  • I wasn't hungry until I started reading this thread, now I'll have to go and make something delicious to eat too!

    March is going pretty well for me so far, no massive spends yet, hoping not to have big spends when the kids break up for Easter. I did get all my Easter Eggs at Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago £1.99 each BOGOF for the large eggs, so I got everyone theirs then and the spend didn't have to come out of March Money.

    I am doing storecupboard this month too as I need to clear the freezer/pantry in anticipation of all the great food I'm going to make in April.

    I'm starting to impress myself at becoming more organised and reducing my spending. I love MSE!
    I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
