Just a quick one to update - I managed to spend £2.17 in Tescos in cash last night and about another £9 in vouchers that I'm not counting in my total as my mum gave them to me.

We're having nachos with all the trimmings, fahitas and refried beans for tea tonight - can't wait, been thinking about it all morning!

The total is now up to £40.77 with plenty of food in for the next 2 weeks or so - I may even make it to Good Friday (21st) without a further spend (wishful thinking?) when we're off to family for a couple of days over Easter.

    Off for some lunch now,
    Take care

    Hi,

I spent £11.83 - most of which was ingredients for HM cakes as it's my birthday wednesday and we always bring cakes in for our friends at work.
    Happy Birthday UK roseblue.

MOUCHE i see you have joined the how much can you save club for march...not seen this club on here, could you send me a link so i can join?

Hi there...sorry that was a mix up in my signature. There is no how much can you save club for march (at least not that I'm aware of). The how much can you save club is a rolling one and the thread doesn't change from month to month. The link to it is: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=295326&page=67

    Hope that helps.

Edit: Just noticed that you said the link I sent you didn't work. I didn't send any link till about 5 minutes ago! Anyway, am glad you and Marru found it.

Ordered my first ever online shop from Asda yesterday. We have a huge Asda nearby but either we shop weekly and end up buying a lot more than we need, or we shop monthly and need to take a taxi (£5) home. I had a voucher for free delivery over £50 so I figured it would be cheaper to order online.

Am a bit worried because it said at the end that they would send me substitutes if they didn't have the exact items I wanted. But if the substitute item is more expensive that would push my total up wouldn't it? I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. Getting my delivery on Saturday so will update my signature then - online it said it would be about £10 for non-groceries and £40 for groceries, which is very good compared to the usual £70-£90.

Also spent £6.64 on Indian groceries not available at Asda. Might need to spend a bit more on these but hopefully not much.

Sending teanage son to live with his gran for a couple of weeks. We are really getting on each others nerves at the minute so hes outa here:p .That should also keep the shopping within target this month at least.
Terrible, need to cut back, get rid of one of the kids:o .I,m a dreadful mother:rolleyes: .Its not the money at all we just all need some breathing space.

I know just how you feel. All of mine have come back home. There is always someone here and I could just do with a day at home without the older teenage lads bickering. There is sooo much testosterone in this house it is scary. You are not a dreadful mother. Everyone needs a break now and again. I think I have been a good mother now I just need a bit of a break.

I wish we had a Gran to send ours to. I did ask my aunt but she is 76 and has never had her own kids so it might be too much for her.

So I need to add that to my signature in a moment...

So just need to roll out the tortillas later, whack the onions, peppers and meatballs in the oven and do a bit of salad....nom nom nom

Half the meatballs will stay in the fridge and tomorrow they will either go on some hm pasta (now i have the flour..thanks to egon and Lil_Me) with a creamy tomato sauce.... or i will break them up and use them to make ravioli ;)
