I know you've told us this (but I'm old and forget things) the childcare is for the cab training - how many days/weeks was this for? Once your training is completed the hours you actually volunteer would presumably have to be the ones that suit you as well as them? With nursery for Ash free, how much will it be for K for maybe just one afternoon a week? If you did the pub and kept Argos maybe the "casual" pub work would cover the childcare and cancel out the need for 16 hours to claim childcare element.I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

I don't usually post on your thread IA, but I thought the following comp (win a stage slot at Glasto) might be of some interest

Do you have to do 16 hours every week, or can it just be 16 hours on average, so for example, if you only do 10 hours one week, can you do 22 hours the following week and still qualify for the tax credits?
It can vary as long as you have wage slips to verify your hours. If it's cash in hand, then you'll have problemsNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Good luck with the bar work - I do some on a Saturday and it really is quite easy......even when you are tired. (although I have on more than one occasion made a shandy with coke instead of lemonade:o )
