Immoral Angel's Debt Diary - Part 16,342...

Hey. Just got back from the cemetary.
Wish mothers day were over already because it's just rubbing salt in the wound now. *sigh* Got MIL coming over in a bit and Ste's cooking us all dinner. Then we've got the band coming over tonight to work on our song again and hopefully we'll get something sorted soon and be able to put it on put it on our myspace.
Eyetest was ok. The guy was really helpful talking to me at least about my squint etc and recommending things as well as talking about contacts. I'm booked in for a trial a week on saturday. This saturday coming I pic up my new glasses! Had to get new glasses as my prescription has changed and I would need a pair of glasses regardless of whether I had contacts (in case I lost a lense etc or didn't get on with them during the trial.). Luckily got my glasses buy one get one free so I could have some sunglasses as well but the final bill £123.40 _pale_ which had to go on the egg card.:wall:
*sigh* oh well. At least I'll have nice new glasses.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

You do need glasses with lenses, for one thing they don't really recommend you wear lenses dawn til dusk, you should really be letting your eyes have a bit of a rest for an hour or so before bed, an optometrist once told me she believed eyes had a finite amount of time you could wear lenses for and so the longer you wore them each day the shorter the number of years you could wear them. I made a bit more of an effort to take mine out in the evenings after that as I was a terror for taking them out while sat in bed.
Glad you were able to have a bit of a splurge and that Ste is spoiling your rotten today, he is a pet, bless him. I am on my own for mother's day as DH is still away but two days ago he suddenly remembered where he had hidden my Valentine's card (unsigned) and forgotten to tell me. LOL So I am hoping he makes up for it when he gets home this week as it is my birthday the day after he gets back too. Have a lovely dinner all of you. Hugs x0 -
Was it someone on here who was asking when Quidco paid out? I see mine went in yesterday. HTH0

Morning all, hope everyone's well.
I'm still secretly seething over the cost of my new glasses, but am really looking forward to picking them up on saturday
They're really funky
Let me see if I can find a pic..
Not sure if I mentioned but we'be had £5.33 paid out from quidco this month :rotfl: Not much but it all helps..
Last night was cool, we had the guys round to work on some stuff. We've started on another idea and added a couple of bits to the track we've got so all it needs is vocals and I think the solo is going to change.. but it's all cool. starting to sound really good. Can't wait to hear it with the vocals.
Apparently he's going to record them some time this week.
I haven't even braved totting up the egg spends yet.. should I? They've not cleared in egg money manager yet but I've a rough idea of what we've spent.. _pale_
£35 DVD player
£45 ASDA (gym clothes, beer, hair stuff, etc)
£17.60 new perfume
£?? Flowers for me from Ste..
£123.40 glasses..
= £221 + whatever Ste paid for the flowers and anything I might have forgotten.. (Don't think there's anything but...)
Oh well. It could've been a lot worse. Just need a job to pay it off now..

You'll do it, don't worry - it's a drop in the ocean compared to some of the other debts you have cleared.
(I'm paving the way for my own spending confession here by being nice about yours...lol!!)
