Hi thanks for your reply. I am confused as to why Barclays have took off that debt then because it has not been 6 years. Could it be because they have passed the debt to Lowell now?
Hi,
This may be becasue Lowell do not use Experian to record credit file data. I also use Experian and one of my accounts was also removed when it was taken on by a DCA. My MBNA account was sold on to Equidebt, and as soon as this happened it disappeared, but I know this debt still exists and is active.
It might be worth checking Equifax, another credit file company, to see if they have any record of your account.

Hi thanks for your replies. Lowell do use experian becasue there is an entry for a phone bill off them. So maybe they are behaving themselve (hopefully):j Even though the entry has been taken off do u think i should still send the 12+2 day letter (this is the second letter you send as part of getting your CCA request I believe?)0

If they haven't supplied the CCA, then I would still send off the second letter. Best to follow the correct procedure so they have nothing to come back at you with.0 -

If you have not had a CCA back from your original request then send the 12+2 letter for sure!
Its not part of getting your CCA request - its to let the DCA know that the account is now in default (they already know that anyway but it doesnt hurt to remind them).0 -

If an account is marked as Defaulted on your credit file and the account is passed to a DCA then the DCA will record their entry against that record. Mind you they dont have to of course but I'm sure they will. Thats my experience anyway.0 -

Generate one complaint, but send it to ALL the agencies I've linked above, one of them will deal with your complaint.
At present, I have an ongoing investiagtion with a well known creditor, who are being investigated by 2 of the agencies listed above.
