What can I do with fresh tuna steak?

I marinade mine in a little oil, dark soy sauce & garlic.
Pan fry turning once as it can brake up.
Serve with new pots, baby veg &/or rice

Treated myself to a couple, and at £2 a steak that most definately is a treat. :rotfl:
Anyway, was going to griddle them unless anyone knows any other fool proof ways.
Also, would anyone marinade it? Only would be a bit of lemon, olive oil and a few herbs. :undecided0 -
I'd just grill them, and then have them with lemon drizzled over, but then I find fish is best with as little "ornament" as possible. Just my taste, though.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

I normally loosely wrap in foil and slow grill them, so they cook in their own juice, nice with pepper on!0

It's a taste shared by others. I wouldn't add anything to them either, just serve them lightly griddled, still pink in the middle... mmmmmm...Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Make sure the griddle is piping hot when you put it on and I would rub a little oil on the tuna rather than on the griddle. I would marinade it first out of personal choice - your marinade sounds delicious, in which case i would put no oil on the griddle or the tuna. Be bold and don't leave it on for too long, rare/ medium rare is definitely the way to go.0

Blimey, SS, we've come on, haven't we?
Another vote for keeping it simple. I just lightly fried my last (price reduced) tuna steaks in some olive oil.
I also did them with home-made mashed potato and mange-tout peas for an upmarket and healthy version of "fish, chips 'n' peas".The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Well I did marinate it. And it was a bit lemony. :undecided
Was still nice. But will keep it simple next time.
Thanks for the advice. :beer:0 -
bit late to the party but they're lovely with crushed pepper and coriander seeds then 5 minutes (if that) on the foreman grill.
